Or will he end up erasing her from both he and Kingsley’s life?
Who says fairytales don’t come true ? This is book 4 in the series and this book is just as good as the previous books! This book wrapped up all the loose ends and brought about new revelations.
This book finds our favorite couple Yves and Roddy mending their relationship after there is a major setback. How to begin the healing process when there is so much hurt so much pain?
This book has drama , therapy sessions, and pulling people access from you. I enjoyed this book and the ending was so beautiful! It shows love can conquer all even when the odds are set against you.
Yeah so I dnf-Ed because I had to miss out on book 3. Like I said previously I purchased book 3 but it was book 1. So aggravating. Had me checking and double checking the cover to be sure I clicked book 3. Then going to the reviews and everyone is saying they can’t wait for book 2 and I’m like what? This is supposed to be book 3. I’m angry because I was really getting into this stop and now I’ll never read book 4 until someone fixes the book3/book 1 glitch.
Yes Jahquel J this finale was everything it showed the growth on both Yves and Roddy’s part after everything they had gone through and them getting their forever together was the icing on the cake.. I must say that growth was shown by everyone in this book Vee finally got out of her own way and allowed Owen to give her everything that she has been missing in her past relationships. Even though I couldn’t stand Jia I am glad that she was able to grow up and get her priorities straight concerning Kinsley and co-parenting with. Roddy and Yves and in the midst of that she found the man that was meant for her in Rashaad. Now I am looking forward to Juleena’s story and can’t wait to see how that turns out..
I was fine with this series ending after 3 books. I don’t think book 4 was needed. It seems like the Author didn’t have anything to write about. It was boring and not as exciting as the previous three books. Yves was a total B in this book and the fact that she didn’t see anything wrong with sleeping with Roddy and getting pregnant made me dislike her even more.
Oh wow. Jia was chasing anything instead of being a mother. I was not hopeful for her but I’m glad she changed. Parenting ain’t for everyone and at least she knew it. It was some truth to what she said about Roddy during counseling. He needed a mother for his kids not a wife. They are have trauma that needed to be heeled.
Now, Roddy made me like him again when he saved Yves but more so when he checked Yves’ cousin for continuing to ask about her mother. I hate when people tell you to be the bigger person or “You only get one mother.” Words like that from people who had not live the trauma that you did always makes me want to cuss them out. I was so happy the Roddy checked her ass. I wish this series had one more book for the follow up of Yves’ family’s situation.
Sometimes I know we as readers beg for releases or for more. But sometimes we don’t really need it. I wasn’t able to finish the book as there wasn’t really much of anything happening. Yves realized she’s codependent and keeps doing it. Maybe she gets it together in the end. Roddy seems like he’s too over protective of an adult woman. Maybe it’s me. Maybe bc I’m codependent and hate being told what to do. But I Just couldn’t get with this. So happy for Jia that she started getting together.
I give it a 4 because I think it’s a good read for those who needed this closure.
Thank you Jahquel J, for providing real life scenarios and promoting mental awareness in a drama and love filled novel. This 4 part series was amazing and I didn’t want it to end, but all good things must. True love wins after all… how these characters were all able to grow and evolve by part 4 was beautiful. Thank you for your artistry and story telling abilities. I sometimes look at the intricate webs that you weave in a series and wonder how you do it. I discovered your work about a year ago and I am so grateful. Thank you for providing a safe space for real raw black beauty.
The finale touched on the very deep seeded issues that all characters harbored and how therapy played a major part in their healings. I love that everything wasn’t all peaches and cream on every page. Each chapter showed how in reality all things can become better, but only when the work is done to get there. I love that Jah included a lot of topics that are prevalent in black relationships but are hardly shed light on. I’m glad that she allowed time to step away and complete book 4.
It was a great ride! One negative for me was the lead female character Yves. I disliked the lead character Yves from book 2-4, I tried to like her but sadly the character had no growth. Yves was a door mat throughout. Then the main male character Roddy actions throughout the series and well into the last book show that he is still in love with his ex. When ai said I enjoyed the series is because of all the back and forth and incidents but to me this didn’t have a true love story. It still a good read though.
I'm so they got it together finally! At the beginning Yves was getting in my nerves and wasn't showing any development. Glad she and Roddy figured it out even with him being spoiled and wanting everything his way. Roddy and Jia got on my nerves, but I'm glad she found Rashaad and he loved her for who she was. Owen did not play about Vee and I love that so much for her. While she was second guessing he wasn't. I wish we heard more from RJ perspective throughout the series. Ju is just so hot in the butt!
Jahquel, great series. When I tell you these folk took me up one side and down the other. Thank you for allowing Jia to finally grow up. I.think each person has done all they can do . The grown Roddy finally showed what a real man can do. Ju will.be ok. Yves, fought so hard she finally can live in real time. I loved Owen, he showed up for Vee like no one ever did for her. So much pain and hurt was felt from these folk. I loved the growth from everyone.🤗🤗🤗😎😎
Book four was the icing on the cake. I’m so happy she got her happy ending. They all did. Roddy was a little needy but he meant well and just wanted the best for him and his family and it all worked out in the end. Great work. Now do a spin off with the kids being older and in college. I just Don’t want they season to end. It’s like watching a good series show on Hulu or Netflix😂😂🫶🏾
Everything ended well for everyone one which was a good thing. I think I would've had the same attitude that Yves had when it came to her mother. It's like everybody wanted you to feel sorry for her but disregarded how she did Yves when she was at her lowest. Proud of Roddy and Jia relationship towards co-parenting because it's healthier for Kingsley. This series was really good.
This series has captivated me for days. I found myself having a love/hate relationship with the back-and-forth dynamics between Roddy and Jia. They stressed me out because it took a long time for everything to come together. Even Yves frustrated me several times. However, I’m so glad that Roddy and Yves ended up together in the end. The storyline and plot were fantastic, and I absolutely love Mama Vee!
Confessions of A Hustla’s Housekeeper 4 (Mathers Family)
Jahquel J. took us on a journey with this series. The readers will go through a life of misery and despair, alcohol abuse and addiction hardware, relapse and recovery. Relationship regrets and then makeup to break up relationships… She gave us deceit and lies and love and hope in this series. I most definitely would recommend it.
I really enjoyed the full 4 book Audiobooks. I love how everything worked out for all involved. I am glad I finally decided to listen to this series as I was definitely NOT DISAPPOINTED. Total invested in the Mathers Family ❤❤❤❤. Narrators did a good job with bringing this story in its fullness and it was a first time listen for Jamal Roque and it was a easy listen :). Will be recommending this series.
This was a whirlwind of a series. Jah took me on a emotional roller coaster with these characters and I was here for every moment of it. Happy with the ending and how everyone ended up with the partners they were supposed to be with. I also appreciated the inclusion of a therapist bc baby…these folks needed some couch time to work through the trauma that was laced in this book. Now onto see what Miss Ju is doing in NYC.
As usual this book was amazing! Read it in one day! I was glad that this book wrapped up everything that was left unsaid in book 3. The thing I loved is that the issues they went through were realistic and so were the solutions! Jah will always be one of my favorite authors!
I'm so glad you dd this 4th book. 🥰 Yves and Roddy needed their happy ending, I'm glad Jia finally wanted to be a mother even though she worked my nerves by alwaus playing the victim when she was in the wrong. I'm sure in the near future we will read about Ju and RJ on there new journey moving ito adult hood.
This whole series was AMAZING!! & to Jahquel J .... DONT let ANYONE stop you from doing what you do best ... Your pen game is off the charts!! This series was the 1st I've read & now I finished your whole catalog & I want more!! Your very talented .. Keep on writing!! I'm looking forward to more books!! You definitely got a fan in me!!
This was a good finale to the series. It appears that the adults got their happily ever after. Once everyone let go of the past, they were able to move forward in a positive way. I may come back and flush this out some more, but these are my initial thoughts upon just finishing the book. It was an OK and I’m glad for the closure.
Jahquel, you have outdone yourself with this one!!!! I loved how Yves decided to not run away and work on her relationship with Roddy, and then get the 3 of them in a session. That ending was it, Jia really became a good mom to Kingsley and got her a good man, loved it!!!
It was worth the wait... I'm so happy for Yves and the progress she's made... I'm happy that her and Roddy got it together... Jia finally grew up and I love how she has become the mother Kingsley needs and deserves... I'm glad Vee did what worked for her and Owen she deserves all the happiness in the world...
I enjoyed this emotional, ending of Roddy and Yves story. The growth of all of these characters definitely is a great ending of the crazy journey all of them were on. Jai finally started growing up and Yves recommending therapy was very much needed. Everyone has issues that needed to be dealt with and dealing with them made everyone's life much better.
My heart just melted when I realized that there was a part 4 to this series. I’ve loved all the characters from the beginning and you matured jia to the fullest. They needed that counseling for the sake of Kingsley. It was a great series and I recommend it to everyone. Keep up the great work.
I’m glad the adults are growing up. Yves started speaking up for herself and setting boundaries. Roddy started putting Yves first and being very supportive. Jia is actually not being so self-centered and taking responsibility after Yves got her told. I’m glad everyone seems to have gotten their happy endings.
There’s a lot that I could say but I don’t wanna spoil anything but what I will say is that this series took me through a whirlwind of emotional damage. It was beautifully crafted and I loved how Yves finally got her happy ending after suffering for so longggg.
I'm never disappointed with these series. J you the goat! Not even going to front I'm quick to send a book right bk to kindle. Lol and I swear every time I get hooked with every word. Every scene. Simply love her thoughts process and im grateful for such great artistry. Keep up the great work J
