Good insight although a little out of date now. The world has moved on in the last 12 years. Love the concept of “sufficient” though, in stark contrast to “consumption”.
This is an incredibly gorgeous book with seriously high production quality. Layout, illustrations, photos: all are beautiful. For someone interested in small-scale farming, this is an inspirational introduction, with quite a bit of useful information. I found its scope a little narrow and noticed a few factual errors that would warrant a little investigation, but overall, this was thoroughly enjoyable.
