It is designed primarily as a textbook for students pursuing advanced studies in Spanish language and literature at North American institutions, either at the advanced undergraduate or at the beginning graduate level.

Really a nice book for those who want to study Spanish linguistics and even for those who want to know the linguistic relationship between Arabic and Spanish. The book is a bit long but it's worth reading. It's also a good read for those who study comparative and general linguistics.
