A great introductory text for anyone struggling to understand the wide-spectrum of disorders and disease that encompass the "neurological" horse. Written for the average horse owner, it gives an easy to understand guide to the nervous system and how it functions, then divides out the various cause of neurological symptoms into chapters (diseases, virus, toxins, genetics, etc.) Perfect to get you started. My only complaint was I wish there was a better section on therapies and prognosis, and that there was an updated edition, as I feel that in 10 years, veterinary medicine has advanced, even if not as quickly as horse owners would like.
