An unforgettable poetic ode to fatherhood.
Moving. Beautiful. Funny.
And I love Ryan W. Bradley's illustrations.

"When We Make Our Dinosaur" is a universal wishlist. The "dinosaur" premise might be anything (a wonderful life, fame, etc.) depending on who is reading it. Or it may just have been a pet dinosaur. A dinosaur so rare it is attainable, allowing itself to be domesticated.

Tyler's all-too-practical pronouncement which made me smile: "When we make our dinosaur we will not make a girl dinosaur for it to play with because we know that a girl dinosaur would just make our dinosaur stop paying attention
