Dr. Geoffrey Simmons focuses on the millions of structures and systems on the Earth that came about all at once, entire...with no preceding links, no subsequent links, no "sideways" links. To illustrate, he surveys examples like... It's Nature contains only leaps, not links. Only the intelligence and purpose of an all-powerful Designer can explain the intricate creatures, connections, and "coincidences" everywhere. Excellent for students and parents, especially homeschoolers, and for educators who want to present the "full picture."
I loved this book! I've read the counter arguments to Simmons claims and they are flimsy at best and wishful thinking at worst. The points Simmons makes are solid and show just how far one has to go to have faith in evolution.
This book was a celebration of the wonders and complexities of creation. It will strengthen the view of anyone who does not believe in evolution. On the other hand the book will not challenge at all those who do believe in evolution from a scientific perspective. They will only find this book irritating and irrelevant. Why? Because the book only addresses the mechanism of evolution (which is unknown, if it actually exists), and not the actual evidence. In addition those who believe in Theistic evolution (that is, God created using evolution) may well be offended, as the author has made the all too common error of equating evolution with atheism.
This a very interesting book, written in an almost informal manner, it actually poses major problems to the more mainstream perception of science. There are many interesting questions to most of Darwin's points, some of them arguing that the changes must have been made at once and not at a slow pace, otherwise, they would not benefit the species and they would rather die, and what mechanism would allow for very incisive changes? The book has thirty different threads, and all of them with great points, you may disagree on some of them, but I found them really difficult to be debunked, trouble is, Darwin is a proper sacred cow and to criticize him one gets completely demonized, highly recommend this book written in a simple manner, easy to understand, it also does make you think and take in consideration the arguments that were put forward.
Dr. Simmons focuses on the millions of structures and systems on the Earth that came about all at once, entire...with no preceding links, .A good book for those seeking a broader understanding of this realm and the awesome array of life hat dwells in it. I am skeptical of evolution. I am skeptical of climate change . I am skeptical optical of dinosaurs. This all stems from freemasons.
