This is hopelessly out of date now, brought to you many moons ago by the very good folks involved in online music retailer Roots & Rhythm. Although in a sense it's a buying guide from people who could sell you the albums, it's very honest and has some good tips to buying top and obscure blues artists, including essential recording tags on many of them. So it's a true blues review book, not a catalog or such. My copy is all beat to hell after all these years, which I guess is a good sign. The writing is adequate (sometimes less than that) but the honest opinions and obvious love of the music give this book a boost.
