The IELTS is taken by over 1.2 million people and is internationally recognized by more than 6,000 institutions in 120 countries. IELTS test scores are used as a measure of English language proficiency by educational institutions, government departments and agencies, and professional organizations. This revised and updated test preparation manual for ESL students covers all parts of the IELTS and all of its question types: multiple-choice, short answer, sentence completion, flowchart completion, graphs, tables, making notes, summarizing, labeling diagrams and maps, classification, matching, and selecting from a list. The manual also offers four practice tests that reflect the most recent actual tests. The book’s tests come with audio for all four tests, answers, and listening and reading modules with answer keys.

I'm glad that I bought this book. I used it for studying for my ielts exam and I got an outstanding score which is more than I expected to get. I think that the most important thing that helped me is the four complete practice tests on all the sections. I'm satisfied :D
This book is great as a starter for those who are still trying to figure out the structure and format of IELTS. However, for those who have already familiar with the test system and just want to do some practice, the questions provided in this book are way too easy compared with the real IELTS questions.
Although Barrons is a big publishing company, they are not an IELTS company. As such, there is general information about the test but nothing to help students with their specific needs.
depending on personal experience . you can use this book papers to dry your wet hands or to wipe your as* , but don't ever use it for IELTS . i solved every question written in this book . I took every exam made to estimate my scores . but they all were way far from reality . believe me when i tell you that this book is old and the IELTS test difficulty has changed , well ,not too much ,but much enough to make this book worthless .
