A short and simple hot read.
It went by fast and I felt like it was pointless to put in the rogues point of view if your at least not going to let the lead characters have a confrontation with them. There were many things that seemed to be missing and/or ignored. Yes there is an element of BDSM but it's very short.

It was ok but for an 80-90 page read it could have been extremely better.
The story segment was fairly interesting, but the sex was meh! Felt like I was reading a BDSM primer and the dialog was stilted. I'd have rated it higher with more story and, in this case, less sex.

“We prowl, we stalk, we tease, and then we pounce.”

Quick shifter read, heavy on the government conspiracy, highly erotic and light dominant play. It was an okay read for me, I think it's hard when you are trying to understand their world in such a short time, it lost me along the way. Not sure if I would continue on with the series though.

I thought that this was alright, though I honestly think there is enough here to develop it into a whole book. There is years of history referenced between the H/h. That might just be my preference for novels over short stories coming to the fore.

Things I liked:
★Grayson being so enamoured with Sasha. I thought the way he followed her about without her knowing was really cute. Maybe a little creepy too, predominantly cute. I also just plain liked Grayson.
★The Doctor - I thought his jovial charact

I am confused by this book but I will say I got it as an experiment and it was free on kindle. That said, there is a story here and I managed to finish it but it did feel like a set up or pre-lude and not entirely complete, or I am just greedy and want more.

As a noob to the genre I cant judge the weighting of the sex but I did feel the anal scene wasnt necessary because at that point in the story how is asking for lube important but perhaps its "normal" for the pacing.

My pain problem was with th

Yes it's another of those "breed" type books that feature human and animal DNA mixing but don't be put off.Ms Ross writes in a style that's easy to follow and quite raunchy at times.
It's my first book from the author and although a little shorter than I would like it is clearly the beginning of a series.the reader is told the origins of the shifters in the story and get the idea that bad government /scientist types are lurking in the background ready to cause trouble in following stories. I have no problems when shifters are involved in a book. Actually, I enjoy them most of the time. So when i saw that grayson was a white tiger, i liked it and was intrigued because it was original. But then maybe the story was just too original for me to truly like ? I don't know... The world created was just kind of confusing ad you don't have much time to adapt.

And yes, there were lots of sex (maybe a little too much). At first it was hot and steamy scenes I was looking forward to read, but th
This was a BDSM/paranormal romance. Is that even a genre? Not sure but it was a first for me. I wished there was more of a buildup between the H/H before the first chapter because there was a lot of sexual tension between the two so I felt like I missed something. The shifter colony was interesting as well as the shifter mythology. I just wished there wasn't a whole lesson in shifter culture while the heroine was tied to the bed (sexual acts for information?) A little weird for me and a mood kil ...more
A very short steamy read that has an interesting angle that has been developed in other series about shifters but this author made theirs unique by carrying it a step further than some. Loved the dynamics between Grayson and Sasha, their chemistry burned the pages but their humanity gave hope that as the series continues the "morphs" will find their way into a better life for future generations.

Fast quick read that is a small slice of a larger pie and under 100 pages it still packed in a lot of

Maybe 4 stars? IDK so straddling the fence. Read this years ago so remember the storyline and being a little "hmmm..." at the ending, but not exactly how much I enjoyed it overall.

Was originally reviewed on Paranormal Sisters:

Untamed Hunger has a good premise however I feel like it didn’t quite satisfy me. I like the story, the background story to the characters but when it came to the erotic part of the book it just made me feel, meh. Not saying some of it wasn’t hot but when foreplay comes out of nowhere and kind of aggressively I didn’t really have a real connection with it, with them. The couple seemed right and I did like gett

I wish there was a way to give this book less than 1 star! Thank goodness it was short and free (from Amazon).

I thought it would be an entertaining read, and I'm not turned off by paranormal romance. But this book is so unrealistic and over half porn that I don't know why I bothered.

Saasha is a major at a facility for morphs; we immediately dive into the action when she is out on patrol and sees a fight between the feline morphs. Going into the woods alone to get answers from a white tiger mor

What a surprise this book turned out to be! It had a little bit of everything - a little bit of bondage, a little spanking, a little intrigue - and a TON of hot sex!

I'm all about shifters. But what made this book different is a spoiler that I absolutely won't reveal because it's a huge plot point and I'm not that cruel. Suffice it to say that I really loved how Aubrey handled the shifters versus humans issues, and I found her take on shifters to be refreshing and unique.

Hero Grayson, white tiger
This was my introduction into the world of shape-shifters.

This is a short novella that introduces us to Alpha Colony.

The government is messing around in someplace that they do not need to be - genetics. This is the story of Grayson (feline morph) and Sasha (human). A story on the love that develops between them and because of taboos is not allowed to culminate. However, a secondary story develops that addresses the point of is it ethical for governments to get involved with creating species and,

Alpha Colony isn’t the sanctuary that Major Sasha Young has always been lead to believe and the history of it’s denizens isn’t precisely true either. The Morphs who live there aren’t there for their safety and they didn’t surrender to be placed there. All of this is a fabrication to hide an awful truth that Sasha has gone from being an unknowing cog in collusion with the powers which keep the Morphs under lock and key to one of it’s prisoners. Now she has to decide if she is on the side with the ...more

Untamed Hunger by Aubrey Ross is a fast, fun read with plenty of action and a well-constructed combination of paranormal (shape-shifters) and scifi (not on Earth). It begins with instant action, a cat-shifter fight scene leading to a steamy and forbidden moment between the main characters that kept me glued to my kindle until the end.

The female lead, Major Sasha Young, has a strength and confidence I like to see in a heroine, yielding to submission only during sex play with the hero, Grayson. A
I'm not normally a big fan of BDSM but sometimes books make it work. This book came close but fell short. If a little more time had been spent on the importance of BDSM in their lifestyle/relationship and less saying the same things over and over it could've really worked.

The author created an interesting world (one I'd like to learn more about). The split between the other two characters didn't work for me. Especially since the story wasn't finished. I'm sure all four characters will pop up in
Guys. GUYS. Guys. This is one of those books that I was predestined to enjoy. It's futuristic. It has an unscrupulous and morally bankrupt government/military who did bad, bad things and then proceeded to cover them up. It has shifters. It has hot sex in a variety of positions.

The world is intriguing. The dominance games are sexy. The set-up for the future is... very much there. Plus, the random bad guy... he's kind of an asshat. And he and his lady friend look like they're going to cause

I got “Untamed Hunger” free on Nook. I would not have paid to read this book. I like my heroines to have more spice to them.

"Untamed Hunger" was lacking a plot and character development. The ease in which Sasha accepted everything told to her by Grayson and his grandpa did not seam plausible. The book was short mostly consisting of a little bit of bondage, a little spanking, and a ton of HOT sex! I would have liked more on the back story and what happens when Sasha and Grayson disappear.

A quick read. Interesting enough to keep the pages turning. A bit predictable. I mean I pretty much had it pegged from the first talk of Major Young and Grayson, they'd end up together. It's over too fast. Where the story line is interestingly conspiratorial. It peaks right in the beginning then tapers off. Of course a sneak peak to the next excerpt left me curious enough to want to continue. Where the next book is obviously about Dyauna. I can't help but hope to find out what happens with the p ...more

I'm all for some hot shake ya body down to the ground, beast with two backs, take me like an animal erotica, but this story was just okay. Don't get me wrong it was steamy enough with more than a few "i need a ciggie" moments. Character development was limp and the plot was intriguing but a bit less developed than i like. Maybe i'm not into the whole male dom / fem subm thing, because her asking him if she may reach...errr ummm, "fulfillment", irked me. My immediate thought was "dude go pee up a ...more

This novella is about Sasha Young, a Major who has been stationed at Alpha Colony to maintain peaceful interactions between the shifters that live there. Over the years, she has been fighting an illegal attraction with the only white tiger on the Colony named Grayson. Their attraction comes to a head when she and Grayson both step in to assist a female leopard in jeopardy.

Grayson has many secrets, but he doesn't know how much he can trust Sasha-she is a human, after all, despite the fact that s

Novella-length start to a futuristic-y, shifter romance series from a publisher that churns out these types of series like butter. Having said that, this one was well written and I enjoyed the attention to detail the author spent on the human and wereshifter inhabitants of Alpha Colony. Ross does a good job detailing the challenges faced by the human military major Sasha, whose job it is to keep peace between the humans and the shifters, and tiger-were Grayson, who gets Sasha to understand the t ...more

I liked this story. It's the begining. The story could of been longer and detailed with more on character depth. But was good and wanted book two right away.
Sasha has worked in the colonies for over 10 years. She is human and there to monitor and keep the shifters safe and balanced. She has always had an attraction to Grayson who is the only white tiger. When a fight breaks out, she goes looking for Grayson on hopes he will explain. But Grayson won't talk unless she submits to him and his needs
Shifters!! yay and stuffs. I dont know why makes me tingle. On top of the BDSM element. What more can a girl ask for? I loved the characters, Sasha and Grayson they just worked well together, ok maybe not at first (smiles). But Sasha is rigid because of what she was brought up to believe, but she also shows flexibility in accepting what maynot be the truth as she was taught. Grayson is passionate in both the love He has for her and trying to right the wrong thats done to his people. When theyre t ...more
Nice erotic shape shifter read with the start of a interesting science fiction world being built around the government playing around with animal DNA. Unlike, the Species series or the Breed series, we don't seem to have years of experimentation but rather a colony and soliders who don't even know they have been tampered with. We also have full shifters here instead of just animal traits.

Cool white tiger dom alpha featured in this book. I look forward to the world developing through out the ser

This book surprised me at how well written it was. I had picked it up for free, so had no real expectations, nor did I remember the plot by the time it reached the top of my TBR list. Great characterization and story lines, although I thought the D/s aspect was gratuitous, the story could have stood on its own with out making the females (especially a female soldier) submissive. But, in spite of the D/s, the book was written so well, I will look for the next book in the series as a possible read ...more
I was thporoughly impressed with this story the uniqueness drove me on. The characters were being driven by a separatist attitude. The funny thing is that what happens when there is no line drawing the fields? well I am hopeful the latest stories will tell what will happen.

I liked the fact that Grayson was patient and not an ass. I hate these types of alpha males that are impatient and arrogant about the women especially in shifter books. I liked the flow of the story and the way the 2 main char
