Great introduction on visualizing graph data with different tools: Gephi and KeyLines.

If you read this book you will get the basics to get you started with building your own visual representations of information.

I have felt that the author is really biased towards KeyLines, developed by his employer.

This book features superb real-life case studies of how this technology is being used across a variety of industries. I had only a cursory knowledge of graph visualization and came away with a better understanding of how necessary it is in the age of Big Data.
