About the author

Robert L. Brunhouse was a graduate of Dckinson College, Pennsylvania, with the Ph. D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He was Professor of History in the University of South Alabama at Mobile. His interest in writting the biographies of many Maya archaeologists was first aroused by visits to Chichen Itza and other archaeological sites in Yucatan.
