Probably one of the weakest of the William books (though I fear that may be true of many of the later books). There was nothing outstanding. They were typical William stories in a way, introducing a few elements from popular culture to bring them up to date, but for me most of the stories just felt too far-fetched, moving further away from scenarios which could occur in everyday life, towards things which are only found in an Enid Blyton adventure.
