DISCLAIMER: This book was written way before this COVID pandemic. Not sure if its info would apply but worth a read regardless in the field of Shamanistic studies.

This book is a bare introduction to Shamanism in the context of mental and physical healing. (My copy from 1993 is just 86 pages.) It doesn't go into depth but gives an idea to the novice the possibilities of an alternate and ancient method of resolving myriad issues one may have or someone one cares about may be experiencing.

The author Ai Gvhdi Waya, a practicing Eastern Cherokee Metis shaman touches on the three Worlds: what she calls "the Dark World" or the Underworld, the "Light World" equivalent to Christianity's Heaven and the "Real World' or this reality. Also addressed are Spirit Guides whether animal or otherwise; possible causes of "soul loss" or other imbalances; the negs or dark practitioners (sorcerers); regaining "missing pieces" and reintegrating with expected side effects and time lines. Actual case studies by her and fellow practitioners who studied under her give more insight into what can be expected.

If interested in Shamanism or alternate methods of healing the whole body, I recommend this short guide as a springboard to further study.
