In this debut novel we are introduced to how it's done on the West Coast - official gang banging that is. Being born & raised in NY I am not familiar with the West Coast slang, gang banging, just their overall style. I enjoyed this debut and came away with a new understanding and respect for the West Coast.

Two childhood friends John Wilson aka Killa Black and Kevin Goodman aka Killer Kev and the rest of the crew (Big head, Money Mike, and Lil Loco) banging is the game so what's the problem?...they're not officially crips yet. They're destined to be as Killa Black and Killa Kev have grown up with their big brothers being leaders and lieutenants of one of the most notorious crip gangs in Los Angeles.

When they do become official crips oh boy, be on the lookout because the new breed has money and murder on their minds. They bring the drama and when love finds them it comes from the opposite side - truces are drawn and mutual respect is given. When the truce is broken, the battlefields have been drawn and blood is shed.

Mr. Wroten does a good job conveying his thoughts. He is going to be one to be on the lookout for in the near future. My gripes were there were many typos and the use of government and street names was a little confusing at times with the flipping back and forth (although understandable as certain settings called for government names). I especially enjoyed him playing himself in the book and telling the real deal about the life of gang banging. I recommend this to the younger generation especially our young men and I pray his message of each one teach one reaches his intended target.

With all the recent events as of late, this book really spoke out to me. You never know what is about to unfold between the pages of a book and this one certainly surprised me. Terry did a great job at penning this book. He didn't take any shortcuts or pull any punches as to what that life will lead to If you don't wise up. Aside from the grammatical errors the book was an eye opener. I highly recommend for you to read it for yourself and pass it along to a friend. Thank you Terry.

This was a very good book. There were quite a few errors but the storyline definitely kept me interested. It's really sad to know that this is a way of life for a lot of young kids who grow up thinking this is a way of life. When you live by the sword, you die by the sword.
