This book covers quite a bit including: -different plants and uses -cosmetic glossary (ex: what is an emollient, an astringent etc) -how to collect, use and store plants and equipment (how to dry herbs, tools needed etc) -where to buy your plants and supplies, including address, phone number, web site info -how to make facial steams, shampoo, lotions, facial waters, hair dye, soaps, douches, makeup, deep treatment oils for hair, massage oils, sun creams, wrinkle creams, perfumes, colognes and so much more
Not my favorite book for herbs but great for beginners as it uses the same herbs and techniques for the recipes, so you'll less likely become too overwhelmed or bogged down with so much info, also requires very little supplies that are probably already in your home so you won't have to worry about running out to buy something fancy or expensive only to use it one time.
