For the savvy bride, the secret of planning the perfect wedding isn’t just knowing what she has to do, but also knowing what questions to ask. Along with tips and checklists for every aspect of the wedding, including the ceremony, the reception, fashion and beauty, and the honeymoon plans, each section of this book suggests dozens of possible queries, with space for writing the answers. For example, at the reception site, inquire, “How do overtime charges work?” and when interviewing musicians, the bride should find out whether they will play requests or require breaks. Complete with worksheets for comparing services and costs, as well as pockets to hold papers and business cards, this is the essential planner for every bride.
After making a few trips to Barnes and Noble and reviewing planners online, I picked up this book. It is insightful and lists questions I never thought to ask. There's plenty of space for the answers and side by side comparisons. The only downfalls are that there isn't enough pockets to store stuff in and there isn't a section on engagement rings. I would highly recommend!
There is some wedding planing advice sprinkled in but on the whole this book is lists, lists, lists! There are places to compare vendors side by side, and lots of places to make notes. I only wish it had a place to record who gave you what gifts. I'm surprised they left that out.
I love this book. It was given to me by my soon to be sister-in-law and it has been a tremendous help. Its full of great information and has some great sections for tracking information to make wedding planning easier.
