I recommend this book for people the field guide to fishes book to read because This book is easy to read , to write summary about it ,and to understand it,instead to go and search on computer . this book for who like fishes, or want to know more information about fishes ,this book is for you.This book is nonfiction book which is real book from natural world. This field guide to fishes features full of colors pictures, Over 700 new full of colors photographs, 286 black-and-white illustrations, and 637 maps combine to make this book the most comprehensive field guide available to the fishes of North America, and that show you marine and freshwater fishes' information. This good book is telling us many information of whales, dolphins, and porpoises, and 24 pictures of freshwater and saltwater habitats,and how to use family key,and how to identify fishes.In the beginning of the book there is a page telling you how to use this guide and there is indruduction explain what are all these fishes in that book,and the lifeand history of authors ,like if it is dangerouse and you will know by danger symbol,or if it similler to each other,their names,range,plate numbers,parts of sharkes ,parts of ray finned fish ,and biolgy of fishes. also it is gives information about species, this field guide basically gives information about fishes like it gives information on measurement of fishes bodies ,shapes and colors also scales, fins, and gills habitat on the map range,and its shows the sex of the fishes or if its poisons or not . Field guide to fishes book is a book that helpful to who interest to fishes or love the fishes and many resources of fishes or want to know more about fishes and what in the oceans.so this complete field guide to fishes ,I give this awesome book a five stars (100%) for this effort because that book have many benefits to people ,I really appreciate that.

National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Fishes, Whales, and Dolphins by the Audubon Society (Alfred A. Knopf 1991)(597.097). This is a field guide with photographs to identify North American fish, whales, and cetaceans. My rating: 7/10, finished 2005.
