(Guitar). 20 studies for the classical guitar written by Beethoven's contemporary, Fernando Sor, revised, edited and fingered by the great classical guitarist Andres Segovia. These essential repertoire pieces continue to be used by teachers and students to build solid classical technique. Features 50 minutes of demonstration tracks accessed online for download or streaming.
Josep Ferran Sorts i Muntades was a Spanish guitarist and composer. (As Sor's works were published in various countries, his name was translated, leading to variations in the spelling. Variations have included Joseph Fernando Macari Sors, Fernando Sor, Ferran Sor, Ferdinand Sor, and Ferdinando Sor).
He is best known for his guitar compositions, but he also composed music for opera and ballet, earning acclaim for his ballet titled Cendrillon. Sor’s works for guitar range from pieces for advanced players, such as Variations on a Theme of Mozart, to beginner pieces.
This book is essential for the intermediate/advanced classical guitarist. Building both technique and performance worthy pieces, are but two of the results of studying these pieces. It is said that one can't seriously be considered a legitimate classical guitarist, until they have played through all twenty of these studies. (I still occasionally play #5 in B minor, my favorite one)

La edición es inmejorable tanto en la selección como en las digitaciones.
