Another twisty-turny plot that strains believeability as do all Steve Winslow novels. But I keep reading because Steve is so interesting and the mystery is hard to solve without him!

this book is by parnell hall who wrote all the stanly books i love so much but this series by j p hailey is the lawyer not a detective

so the lawyer gets a bum in his office who needs advise about writing his own will. he tells him for free then finds out hes a millionaire

so the relatives try and have him put away for the insane so tehy can get his money, he had sold the house and moved out as he could not get rid of them

then a bum gets killed and they find his wallet in the pocket and think its him (the bum was shot in the head and burned).

the nephew was blamed but the lawyer got him off in trial and they arrested the uncle who really killed the bum thinking it was the millionaire

but it wasnt, he had moved to rio with his girlfriend and sent the lawyer a letter from there
