A very special book as I received this as a gift when I was a child from my Grandad who has recently passed away. We had spent the day visiting dover castle and this was a book in the gift section he purchased for me. History was an area we both enjoyed sharing.

This book on its own merits is beautifully illustrated with photos of re enactment's and easy laid out battle plans with brief explanations of why battles happened and how those were victorious. I thought it was a great book then as a child learning about Battles of Britain from Hasting to Culloden.
