Jesse is in search of a night of passion. One that includes being spanked, tied up, and at another man’s mercy. It’s a good thing that Knots, his club of choice, has everything he’s lusting for, and more.
Nicholas, an alpha wolf who’s so gorgeous that his good looks should be legal, is going to be the Dom to give it to him.
First story in the paranormal knots series, this book features a human who loves ouchies and his wolf mate who loves delivering spankings.
Hmmm ... this needs serious editing ... basic grammar has been missed on this one ... then there is the incorrect or inappropriate use of words ... it's all very well to use a thesaurus, but if you don't actually know what the word means, you'll look like an idiot when you use a word in the wrong context ... for example, in Cuffed, the sub draped himself face-down over a spanking bench ... instead of saying that, Kyle said the sub draped supine over the spanking bench ... although it sounds more grown-up, it is actually wrong because supine means face-up which was the opposite of what the author actually wanted to say ... then we had the various correctly spelled words in the wrong context, like hold instead of hole etc. ... BUT ... the biggest faux pas was the instances where more than one character's dialogue was in the same paragraph ... just sloppy IMO ... IF you can ignore all of the above, you'll then be gifted with 3 short stories that have weak plots with every shifter cliché tossed into the mix ... there are much better books out there IMO.
Very hot, much too short story about a dominant wolf looking for a mate and a human sub wanting a permanent lover.
The two characters were more sketched than fleshed out due to the length of the story, but I feel there's enough there for the author to do more with them. I liked the sense of humor that made it different from the more 'standard' D/s story.
4 if it was longer then basically a few hours. Like many I wished it could have been longer. It would be interesting to see Nick and Jess again, with their personalities it would make for a great longer book.
I enjoyed the dynamics of this short story, especially Jesse. He is so confident in himself, in what he wants and in who he is as a submissive.
Nick is the essential big-bad-wolf dom, with all that implies, and the schmex between them is hot. There are a number of repeated phrases that get old very quickly that are used, but they can be overlooked.
They both find exactly what they are looking for in each other - they both feel it and know it to be true since just about the very beginning, without that whole 'zomg, i love you so much' infatuation that some writers get carried away with. My only complaint is how Nick takes Jesse without cover and bites him during climax, *knowing* that this will change the sub into a werewolf. Does Jesse not have anything to say about the cover issue, with this essentially being sex between two strangers? And what about if Jesse doesn't *want* to be a werewolf? What then?
Generic is a good description here. Generic dominant. Generic sub. Generic club. Or maybe cliché is a better term. Either way, the fact that Nick,or whatever his name was, actually turned Jess into a Werewolf without even asking was disturbing. They talk for like 2 minutes, one spanks the other, they screw, Nick decides this means he can just change Jess' entire future without even a pretty please. I don't think so... :-(
If only it can be longer than this. I find the story intriguing and I actually love Jesse, the human among the wolf. I think if it's written a bit longer, it will make an interesting relationship. Since it's short, I can only settle with giving it 3 stars.
This was very quick paced. Though, at the end I was umm I liked it enough to see what happens next, I won't because the next book isn't about this couple.
Jess goes to a BDSM club looking for a Dom. He is aware it is werewolves, even though it is suppose to be unknown to humans. The Alpha and owner scents him out immediately and 'claims' him for the night. By the end of the night, he is truly claimed. How will Jess react when he finds out???
I'm not to sure if I liked this one or not it was so short. I didn't really get a chance to get a feel of the characters and there wasn't much to the story at all. Nicholas is a alpha wolf shifter and a Dom. Jesse is a human looking for passion and want's to be dominated. Club Knots is just what he needs. I would have liked to have read more about the shifter connection to the club and why Jesse would want to be with them.
A very short story with lots of mine, mine, MINE, and a little bit of humor filled “yours”. The characters were actually pretty enjoyable, but the story suffers from lack of depth and I would have really enjoyed a more rounded out version. The sequel does bring these characters back in focus briefly, but not enough to really satisfy.
I liked the dynamics between the two main characters and the fact that the sub knew exactly what and who he wanted :D My only problem was that I wanted so much more than what I got. I hope the author decides to write more about these two men as there is so much more about their growing relationship that I would love to read.
Curiously enough, but then again maybe not, erotica needs strong characterization to be erotic. Here we have a supposedly alpha male-wolf who struts around and a girlish blondie who likes his lovers heavy-handed. That is all there is to them and, frankly, it is not enough to make all that BDSM less than gratuitous.
Not sure why this book is so short when the other 2 in the series are abt 70-90 pages. Bc the character chemistry could have been continued for sure! Jesse and Nick are super hot together and make a great couple but it just felt a tad rushed.
A very short lunchtime read. The story was ok but other then some mild BDSM it was pretty tame. There were some annoying editing mistakes and words were used wrong. Definitely not her best work. I probably won't reread it in future but it kept me busy at lunch today.
This is a short and super sexy BDSM M/M read, if this is your kind of thing then this book is definitely for you. It is a very short read but the characters are strong and the story is wonderful and can be enjoyed despite the length.
Very hot, much too short story about a dominant wolf looking for a mate and a human sub wanting a tuff lover. If this was just book one I might have to change my rating up for a 4 star later. warning though it is a gay BDSM story, only for mature readers!
Great short, quick read! I could definitely see reading much more of this story. Jess and Nicholas seem to be such a great couple and as with all good reads it just wasn't enough. The premise of the story and the way Ms. Kyle worked through it was succinct and to the point. I just want MORE.
I liked this story but it was way too short. There was so much more to explore between them that it felt lile a let down when I got to the last page so quickly.
I loved the beginning of this story -- way hot and so much potential -- but it fizzled out way early. I will look for more from this author -- I have high hopes1
I liked this novella. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer to flesh the characters out more. Just felt like they got to the good stuff too quickly.
