Ridiculously funny Onion-like satire pieces, taking no prisoners. Every sport, every team, and every athlete is fair game. He cleverly lambasts and mocks players, coaches, fans, and league officials across all sports: baseball, football, boxing, college sports, golf, hockey, and so on.
Some of my favorites “Fun Facts” (remember…this is satire…just jokes…):
o Pete Rose dove headfirst out of his mother’s vagina at birth
o David Ortiz holds the all-time Red Sox record for the most clutch hits with 114 which is 114 more than the next closest player
o (Jim) Brown claims the proudest moment in his life was appearing in the 1996 film Mars Attacks!
o In the time it will take you to read this sentence, five NBA players have slept with your wife
o Sydney (Crosby’s) mother isn’t sure if his father is Crosby, Stills, or Nash
o (Lennox) Lewis was never feared or respected to the same degree as past heavyweights, primarily because no one in world history has ever been scared or intimidated by a guy with an English accent.
o Seabiscuit wore a saddle by Vera Wang to the 2004 Academy Awards
o Ski jumper worried his skills might not be applicable to life after the Olympics
o …and so on…
