I received this is a xmas present and initially I left it alone but after a while I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. Whicker is an informed, reliable and authoritative voice taking us around the globe meeting some truly mesmerizing and awful people, from the Sultan of Brunei and Pavarotti to Miss World and a credit card advert. This is a fine selection of varied writing from around the world that makes for many a pleasant hour of reading.
