This is one of the worst books I've ever read. I finished it because I generally finish books and because I was house-bound during a hurricane. The writer isn't a bad writer, but this book was a public service announcement against those email scams where someone overseas needs 'help' to get a large amount of money from a bank account and if you will 'just' send him some of your money he will send you millions. Because of her need to 'preach' about this danger, she sacrificed all good plot device ...more

Modern day knight in shining armor

A great suspense more about "How did this happen" than "Who done it". This is a modern day problem of fraud and how Lindsey's father could even let this happen. The struggle with despair on a spiritual level for Lindsey through her trials was especially relatable.

Her father fell for the scheme because he felt guilty of his wife's death from cancer, he thought if he had more money then he could have done so much for ...more

Not much relationship here, between the characters or with God. Mostly all about how Internet scams work. For the better part of 200 pages. I can do that research myself -- not really what I'm looking for when I read Christian fiction. I haven't read any other books by this author, so maybe she was just really passionate about this subject; her other stuff could be different for all I know.

I enjoyed this simple read. The ending gave more suspense than I had expected, and Kyle's influence on the story-line is both integral and believable.
