The actual advice on acting is very useful, but a lot of the logistical guidance is very dated, and in many instances assumes the reader has the privilege of surplus time, finances and had been to drama school. It’s worth reading but don’t take it as gospel.

Excellent! An easy, amusing, informative read. And exactly what I was after to get a real flavour of what it's like to be an actor in contemporary England.
