By night, teenager Yoshimori Sumimura is a "kekkaishi"--a demon-hunter who specializes in creating magical barriers around his prey. By day, Yoshimori's got other demons to battle: an addiction to sweets and a seriously crotchety grandfather! Yoshimori's pretty neighbor and childhood friend, Tokine Yukimura, is also a kekkaishi, but their families are feuding over who is the "true practitioner" of the art.
Two operatives from the Shadow Organization spirit Tokine away to an isolated island location for questioning. They claim to be merely investigating the slaying of a deity, but their brutal interrogation suggests otherwise! Can Yoshimori and their allies rescue her before it's too late...?
I love Yuugami! I love Yuugami!!!! I love Yuugami!!!!!!!!!! I hated him at first but now I love him!!!!!! He is sooooo nice person. He seemed to be enemy, but actually not. He helped Tokine, and tried to die to save her, though he hasn’t have enough reason to save her. How nice person! And also, I was excited at the scene that Mosamori appeared! It was so cool! His power is growing more and more.

Kekkaishi, Vol. 22 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next ten chapters (206–215) of the on-going manga series.
To protect the Karasumori site, Tokine Yukimura slays a guardian deity – a serious crime. Special Investigations Unit agents haul her to their headquarters for questioning on Headless Island – a daunting name. Mistrusting the agents' motives, Yoshimori Sumimura and his Night Troops allies set out to bring her back.
Tokine escapes with the help of Kiyoderu Yuugami, one of the investigators. However, a vicious operative named Saigo Enjouji pursues Tokine, but Yoshimori saves her in the nick of time. The two kekkaishi barely manage to catch their breaths before they are faced with a new challenge in Yashiro – another member of the Prosecution Office in the Shadow Organization.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Yellow Tanabe. This tankōbon explores the legal aspects of the magical world when a crime is committed. To save her family and friends from a vengeful guardian deity, Tokine Yukimura killed it – a taboo. Not trusting this process or the Prosecution Office of the Shadow Organization, Yoshimori Sumimura sets out to free Tokine.
All in all, Kekkaishi, Vol. 22 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.
It was cool to see another branch of the Shadow Organization in this volume it was the Prosecution Branch. The layout was cool with having different rooms for different purposes but I wished we got to see more of it before it started to go into the corruption and scandal type story. As it feels we really do not learn much about that branch. Granted the new ally they gain is pretty cool and I do like his personality and why he is willing to help Tokine also wished this was a Tokine only story as I feel having Yoshimori become part of this arc ruins Tokines progression a bit.
The series is about Yoshimori who is a kekkaishi. Kekkaishi is a demon hunter that creates barriers around their prey. Yoshimori's neighbor Tokine who is his childhood friend is also a kekkaishi too. The two families feud over who is the real practicer of the art. The book is mostly about Tokine being taken away by two people from the Shadow organization's special investigations unit to an isolated island. At the island Tokine is questioned. The two from the Shadow organization claim to be investigating the slaying of a deity. There one of the Shadow whose name is Yashiro tries to break down Tokine's memories and personality however Yugami the other person from the organization helps her escape. Yashiro then tries to kill Yugami. Yugami meets with Tokine again and try to escape the island. They are chased by Saiko after it is announced that Tokine had killed Yugami. Saiko and her brother Saikaku manage the island and executions. While that happens, Yoshimori goes after her along with four friends. Yoshimori arrives at the island and finds Tokine and Yugami along with Saiko who had caught up to them. Yoshimori sends Saiko flying when she was about to swing her sickle down on Tokine and Yugami. The book ends with Yashiro carrying Saikaku who he had taken out and meeting Tokine, Yugami, and Yoshimori together. The book has lots of action and suspense. The story can change in a way not expected like Yugami helping Tokine, Yashiro trying to kill Yugami and taking out Saikaku.
