Wow. Extraordinary book. Glad that I have a review assignment and get to think about it some more (review assignments invariably involve intense thinking). Stay tuned for the review. (UPDATE, July 12, 2010): The review is now available on the Fiction Writers Review website. Review is based on a copy provided by the publisher.) ...more

Few books so gracefully tackle questions of religion, life purpose, and love head-on. I found this book transformative. In the beginning, I could not imagine making the choices that Sarah made, but by the end of the book I was in the boat with her. Jacob Paul is an extremely intelligent writer. The book's scenic details and voice are extraordinary.
