Some good general information, but quite dated and entirely based on the Canada’s Food Guide. Not a bad resource but not recent enough and not diverse enough for my tastes.

Wife brought this book home for me to read today. It's kinda strange though, it doesn't really give recipes to assist in someone getting pregnant, they're all recipes to give the proper nutrition to a currently pregnant woman. Not sure why she gave this to me, I'll probably ask her when she finally starts talking to me again.

(BTW- Best estimate is she's 6 weeks along. If you know my or Jenn's parents, don't say a damned word, they've got a great Christmas surprise in store for them)

I made almost every recipe in this book throughout 2 pregnancies & breastfeeding and thought most of them were fantastic. I love how it tells you which ones are good sources of calcium, folate iron, etc and gives you sample meal plans. I think this been really helped keep my nutrition on track. It also goes over health issues during different stages of pregnancy and gives a lot of tips on breastfeeding. Overall a great book and I am happy to have it.
