I should have read this before surgery but I don't think you'll take it all in. After surgery you're too fuzzy to be able to read. I read this from 5-7 weeks post op and found some of it rang very true. I think it's a good companion for recovery but I don't know how useful before. It suggests the possibility to return to work after a month. I would have been crying or asleep at my desk at that point.
