A short and sweet read. Very nice to get different perspectives about a time long past. 11 stories in total varying in length and subject from 8 pages about a lady and her friend orangutan to a 20 page story about a strange village. Although it was odd to have everyone love a particular hotel -the Raffles Hotel- it did sell me on the dream and visiting it is on my bucket list.
