That is the question Rianna Roberts has once she becomes impossibly tangled up with an online romance. Who can it possibly hurt, right? After all, she's never even met Nathan. It's been innocent.
But things will change!
When her married lover presents Rianna with a holiday trip, by herself, to a tropical beach cottage, she uses the opportunity to hook up with her chat room romance, Nathan. Their one night of passion will have the most unexpected consequences!
And suddenly, Rianna realizes she's put everything at risk . . .
Note: This is a stand alone read that is part of the Steamy Shorts Novella Series. All books in this series are stand alone reads with graphic sex and very steamy content.
This is a taboo story line with quite the twist or twists? Right away you are introduced to characters you love to hate, the other woman and the heartless man. But then the author turns the tables on all of that. You later meet a different character which you can't even figure out how you should feel for him. This book is just full of so many twists and turns I am not sure which way my head is looking now. This is only a novella but it packs a big punch. I sure hope there will be more because I really want to know what happens to these characters down the road.
The Other Man by Laurel Landon is a mistress romance novella. This book is written by Andrea Smith under her pen name Laurel Landon. I absolutely loved this story! I really enjoyed the epilogue in this book to get the other characters points of view. It really brought the story to life. I would highly recommend this book if you love steamy quick reads. Andrea does not disappoint!
Steamy short story mostly from the mistress point of view. Did you ever wonder? Is it cheating if you are with another man while being a mistress for a married man?
There is more to the story than you might expect and a few twists that I frankly would have liked to see played out. Is there more? I almost hope so because I want to see where it all ends up.
The Other Man was my favorite of the Naughty Nuggets Series. I'm not one for cheating but I found this one quite intriguing. Laurel Landon gave me all the backstory I needed to enjoy the story. I found myself on the edge of my seat turning the pages. I figured some of the twist out and others I didn't see coming.
The Other Man is a very steamy short story that I wanted to know what happened next, because nothing is as it seems and you’ll just have to make up your own mind. Once again Andrea gives us complex, flawed characters who you can’t help rooting for.
Awesome Story, Steamy & Enjoyable! Great Narration🎧
The Other Man by Andrea Smith, Laurel Landon Narrated by Gina A. Jones
This is a fabulously enjoyable and entertaining story was part of the “Steamy Shorts” Novella Series. I am a huge fan of Andrea Smith’s work, I love her writing style and the stories she creates and it is great to once again see another side of her creative mind as she raises the heat level several notches. The characters are nicely developed, they are likable and easy to connect with. Rian Roberts is a kept woman, her married lover, Preston Barringer II, is older than her but he treats her well and she is happy with him and their arrangement. But when she starts to feel like she is missing out on things she joins an online chatroom using a different name called the “Owners of a Lonely Heart” where she meets Nathan. The two become friendly and then arrange a secret & steamy rendezvous while on a holiday vacation. I must say wow, I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted and the twists and turns were brilliant and unexpected. There is an impressive amount of story in this novella sized book and I loved every word of it. Thank you Andrea Smith for another awesome story, and that ending, great way to keep your readers and/or listeners thinking! 🎧📚🎧
I listened to the audiobook edition, Gina A. Jones does a great job portraying the characters, bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. She sets the perfect tone for the story, captures the character’s emotions, as well as their passion which is reflected in her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧
Don't let the length of this nugget fool you! Andrea Smith packs a complex story in this short! Rianna has been with Nathan for several years. She is well taken care of, but she want more than to be the other woman. Marriage, children, all the things he can't give her. Seeking solace online, she decides to meet her chat buddy for an anonymous night of passion. And it changes her life. Twists and turns in this gem left me guessing, and the epilogue blew me away! The story has us rooting for Rianna, questioning Nathan, and the surprised at the chat buddy. I loved when a story isn't predictable and leaves me thinking. Narrated by the fabulous Gina A Jones, I was pulled in from start to finish and enjoyed every minute.
Yes this is a novella, but it reads/listens like a novel. Also there are several big questions in this story. Did Rianna cheat or didn’t she? To be honest I say no. There are no legal documents, no signatures on the dotted line. Was she dishonest? Again I say no, she was curious, lonely, he was duplicitous in more ways than one. Does he love her, will he make it right? Yes he does, and no he won’t, did he screw himself, yes, and he deserved it. You are probably asking yourself what is this woman talking about, well you will just have to read the story or as I did listen to Gina A Jones tell us this steamy tale. I want to know what your answers are. Thank you Andrea you always have such interesting stories to tell.
Andrea Smith has written an OMG story that blew my socks off! Rianna had a rich married lover that kept her in style. She was tired of spending every holiday alone so she cooked up a plan to spend it with a man she met online. After spending one night in bed with him with the lights out, things get twisted into another twist. Gina A Jones did an awesome job narrating it. She can bring out all the stops.
