Volume four of Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace begins after Anakin Skywalker's Podrace victory enabled Queen Amidala's ship to be repaired, and it freed him to go with Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi to appeal to the Jedi Council for a chance to train as a Jedi Knight. Finally en route to the Senate meeting--where Amidala will plead for help against the Trade Federation's invasion of her planet--the Jedi Knights foil an attempt to kidnap the Queen, and are thereby alerted to the possible return of the Sith to the galaxy. Queen Amadala has returned to her planet, with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan for protection, with the hope of allying with the Gungans against the Trade Federation... "Liked it." - 3 out of 5 star rating.

It's The Phantom Menace (TPM) in comic book form.

100% straight forward, with nothing new added and zero risk... this is the only reason why I am dropping this back -1 star, as its just more of a good thing - but doesn't offer anything new.

Another -1 star due to some highlights from the film and key dialog moments that are either entirely missed or slightly off/different here.

In order of precedence between book, movie, comic - the TPM comic adaptation comes in last.

This entire Star Wars series is just not making the mark. I guess it's because the story of Star Wars is so involved that trying to cut it down to fit a graphic novel just doesn't work. The storyline is choppy and it's hard to follow the action when it cuts from one storyline to another without much explanation. For kids that just want the highpoints I guess it's okay, but to me, it just doesn't get it done.
