I feel like maybe I got a misprint. Does the story really end with tortoise counting "15, 14, 13, 12" and that's it?
Overall, this book is just a bit weird and "meh". The counting doesn't make sense in the story of the hare and tortoise race, and some of the illustrations (especially of the hare) were a bit off.
