Peter picks pickles in a small village's pickle field. He continually picks and picks until suddenly he has to stop! This simple 10 word reader is easy for an early reader but lacks in illustration and strong plot. The illustration follows the same background and general group of people while just adding things in the foreground. The large easy to read font and small vocabulary is good for children just learning how to read however. I personally learned how to read with this book while I was you

This was one of my favorite books as a little kid. I still love it. "A pickle for a nose?", yes, a pickle for a nose.
