Developmentally children, 0-12 months, explore and learn about the world through their senses. Since touch is one though which a wealth of information is exchanged, the concept of body is explored through age-appropriate photos and labeled text found in Baby’s Book of the Body. By reading, talking about the body and having children identify parts of their own body fully, these connections between the text, photos and own body support a child’s oral language development and understanding of own body.
