Never say things can't get worse, because they absolutely can.

Lies, betrayal and a shootout led to the worst nightmare of all. Out of that came the truth. But it's a truth I don't want to believe.

A reality that might drive all of us apart, make us turn on each other.

Who the f*k can I trust if I can't even trust myself?

**This is a reverse harem, mafia romance, with adult themes and… well a bunch of dark themes and sweaty guys.**

This wasn’t a bad series. Kept my attention for the most part. Kennedy was a bit naive at some points and then held her own on others.

We don’t get a lot info on the guys honestly. Ares’ past was made to be a big deal, one that Mannix and Ice didn’t want to talk about without him there, but we never really got anything besides him being poor. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had the villain pegged from book one, although I thought they had help from someone close to her so it was a bit surprising that person had nothing to do with any of the bs.

Amazing!!!!!!!

I haven't heard of this author before, but decided that it sounded interesting enough to give it a go.

I'm so glad I did! Kennedy is strong and knows her own mind, which in itself is a rarity in these types of books. Her mother loved her, and her father.. She doesn't know who that is.
It ends very cleverly in a full circle. I don't want to give anything away so all I'm going to say is please give this series a try!

Trap by Maggie Alabaster & Jo Bradley is the Third book in the Dark Masque Series. This continues the story of Kennedy, Mannix, Ice and Ares. This was a really good exciting drama filled trilogy. I have really enjoyed this series and I hope to read more from this author.

This book is the third in the Dark Masque series and picks up right where Prey ended. If you haven't read Bait and Prey, stop now and go read them....

Kennedy is still alive...for now. Captured and left in a literal dark hole, she has no way of escaping. Eventually she is brought back to Bell and he makes her an offer. She can walk out of his house with Ice if she does him a favor. She agrees to save Ice and they leave Bell's house in search of Mannix and Ares. They all reunite and get out of town as quickly as possible. Back in Dusk Bay there are a lot of questions that need answered. How did Kennedy and Ice survive and get out of Bell's house? What kind of deal did Kennedy make?

During her time at Bell's house, Keneedy learned some dark secrets and when they come to the surface, everyone is shocked. In a effort to move on, Keneedy goes back to work at her gym and makes a gruesome discovery. Clearly someone is still out to get her. More secrets continue to come out and the guys have a decision to make. Do they stick with Kennedy?

Kennedy and the guys have believed Bell was evil for so long...what if that isn't the case? Who tried to kill Kennedy? Will they be able to make it through this together or will the answer destroy them all?

This was a face paced conclusion to the Dark Masque trilogy. It was spicy with some great twists and secrets that came out. The book definitely sets the stage for more books featuring Brutham Academy!

What a series this has been!!! Trap is the third book in the Dark Masque series......and this starts where Prey left off. If you haven't read the first two books Bait and Prey then please do before this one as nothing will make sense.

We jump straight in after Kennedy and Ice are captured and left in a dark hole of a room separated from each other not knowing if the other is dead. When she's given an out by Bell he makes her an offer to walk out of there with Ice alive!!! So what does he offer her? Why does she say yes?

When some dark secrets come out, Kennedy is shocked, everyone is shocked!!!! She goes back to work at her gym pretending everything is ok, but there she makes a gruesome discovery !! What does she find? Who is out to get her still if not Bell then who? Honestly this is so fast paced ( the whole series has been ) you will get a lot of answers in this book it was definitely a nice way to end the trilogy. I can't wait to see what's coming next.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Just when you think that things can't get worse they always do. This is the third and final book in this Dark Masque Series. You will need to read the first two books or you will not know Bait and Prey. This book will pick back up right where Prey left off and we dive headfirst right back into this story. Things have certainly gotten worse as someone is more than willing to hurt Kennedy. She, Mannix, Ice and Ares have their work cut out for them to find out who the real enemy is and to figure out why they are after Kennedy. I can't tell you anything else about this story because you need to let it unfold and be on the edge of your seat like I was. I have loved reading this series and it is one that a lot of you are going to love.

Back up my last review, this book just wasn’t for me I think. If you haven’t read a lot of mafia books or RH then this may be a better read for for you but it just comes across as average. I will concede the plot twist wasn't terrible but it was still so cringey with her guys at times. I feel like the smut was at awkward times when really they needed to do something else to move the plot along. Is this book terrible? No, not at all. It’s a quick read and is a perfect book to get you into this genre. I’m so annoyed with her mom though. Book one they had a great relationship which is so rare in this genre but then book two and three, her mom went off the deep end and became her enemy. I don’t love that twist and feel like they could’ve maintained the close relationship they had amongst the new plot lines.

This book was so freaking good. This is the final book in the Dark Masque series and boy did these ladies deliver. I swear I felt like I was on pins and needles while reading this book. This picks up from where book 2 Prey left off with Kennedy finding something she shouldn’t have and running or thinking she was going to run ha because those boy's would find her and drag her back. This book hit the ground running and didn't slow down until you reached the end. There was some twists and turns and man that plot twist you don't see coming plus the many secrets revealed had my mind reeling. This series has been wonderful I definitely would recommend, but check the trigger warnings first before reading.

This is the third and conclusion of this amazing series. Things become worst when somebody is gunning to hurt Kennedy, and along with Mannix, Ice, and Ares, they have their work cut out for them to uncover who the enemy is and why Kennedy is the target. This is a well written dark, raw, gritty, intense, and intriguing, reverse harem romance, which is action packed, and filled with emotions, lies, betrayal, family, friendships, suspense, danger, trust, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, twisted, haunting, and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.

Trap is the third and final book in the Dark Masque trilogy. It starts right where the previous book ends. Bait was quite the ride. Crazy from the start with so many twists, turns and revelations. I lived that I didn’t see it, most of it, coming.

I received an advanced copy of this book for free. This is my honest and voluntary review.

The plot thickens

This final book of this action packed story gives us answers to all the questions raised in previous books as we discover more about our FMC Kennedy’s past.
There are some shocking revelations that really change the playing field.
Great to see the relationship maturing with all three guys, especially Ares who I wanted to slap in previous books.
An amazing story full of plot twists, sure we’ll meet some of these characters from this world in future books. Really love that we see the Brantleys again, maybe the twins will get their own book soon?

Story 3.75⭐️ Spice 3🌶️
**Rating the series as a whole**
I enjoyed this series, but it could have been better. There were several inconsistencies, especially between books. For example, Mannix says his father doesn’t know about the virus, then in the next book Leo actually sent them. That is just one example, there were several similar instances. It made the books less cohesive. Overall, I enjoyed the premise of the series and the characters as well. I appreciate that the books are relatively short but they still get the point across.

Great ending

Not really a spoiler but mentions results of ending.

I love how it ended, had great twists. Quick read. For being dark romance it had a surprisingly happy ending. Again I love the characters and I can’t wait to read more books by these authors.

Talk about dysfunctional. Twists galore, Ares finally fessed up even if it was dysfunctional but hey. Then The bomb drop about her father. Just secrets and surprises everywhere. Keeps you guessing and of course you get some steam.

Daddy Dearest

XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. So the book opens with exploding news. Mason, Ice, Area and Kennedy loyalties are tested with one another with one simple announcement, Kennedy’s paternity results. Who’s dad is more ruthless? Mason or Kennedy’s?

I really enjoyed this series. There is one problem though. When they went to bells party. They went k. There own. But at the end of this book. It states that Lei sent them… there where also some other mistakes. But the spice and storyline itself was really dam good.

Masques aflame

This book took us on some serious twists that I really didn’t see coming. Definitely dark, no shame, no sympathy for 11 year old sister of Charlie. Yet the bond between the guys and absolute loyalty to their women was good to read.

Wow

What an epic conclusion to the trilogy! Ice is definitely my kind of guy. I don't know why, but I love reading about guys who are like overgrown kids, but they are the most ruthless

Too short …

I feel like all three books could’ve been one book — or we should’ve gotten more POVs in books 1 & 2 to expand the story. I wouldn’t have bought these books at their price and page length but they’re enjoyable as a KU read.
