I collect Images of America books during my travels, and was thrilled to see this volume when we were in Seneca Falls, NY, a few months ago. While I learned a bit about Seneca Falls beyond the women's rights movement -- industry, canals, and famous townspeople -- I was distracted by the disjointed nature of the topics and commentary. I got the feeling this volume was pushed out in a hurry, most notably as four pages describing leisure and amusement parks were within a chapter on the great fire. ...more
