This is still enjoyable despite the numerous fan service in it.
With the group running into a place with only women who want to secure their race by sleeping with Shibuki. He does open them up to the idea of being past the barrier.
In their quest to defeat the Demon King, they are also in need of a stronger weapon. With this knowledge, the group travel to the church to speak with God. I didnt think it was really going to God but it was. The conversation between them and Surfi was really nice. The tales of the First High Saint as well as someone in the Demon World have similarities.
I wonder if once they defeat the Demon King if Shibuki will die again. Also, people in the Church did not take kindly when Surfi was selected to be an High Saint, even calling her out of her actions. Seems suspicious to me that maybe there is more to this church that what the public is seeing. Kinda like Roll Over and Die in that respect.
The turmoil that Surfi is feeling is funny but also you feel for her trying to rationalize her feelings and her faith.
Good concept slowly starts to delve into SUPER harem mode, hero character is great and relatable up until you remember he’s just casually misogynistic. Like we can kind of ignore him taking the holy sword responsibility from Surfi (even though she could be trained and become totally capable but she says it’s fine) but we can’t ignore him literally taking a box of fruit from a girl and stating “it’s too heavy for a girl I’ll carry it”. This girl is meant to be a villain who will most likely join the harem (groan) and burns him and takes it back. I’m on her side author sorry.
The romance stuff in these is very cute. Love the separation, but still wanna be close to each other vibes. New potential political "villain" for the Saint and a new "big Bad" introduced as the first Saint.
