This is a good book for beginning and intermediate cachers to learn the basics. It also covers your first trips out to the wilderness and how to do so safely, and if you're interested in learning how to read and plot on Topographic Maps, there is a detailed chapter covering navigation.

The only issue with this book, is that it is dated as far as the technology goes.

Not a bad book really, unfortunately it's just really outdated now!
Geocaching has changed drastically since this book has been printed in technology, ethics, physicality, etc...
There are some good resources and links toward the bank, not all of them work anymore though.

Great book for walking you step by step through the process of geocaching. One that I wish I owned and didn't just get from the library.

The library catalog indicated that this was a newer book than it is; it's well-written but a lot of the technical information is quite out of date.
