Empath

You may be aware that you are an empath or you may be looking to find out what an empath is. Perhaps you know that you’ve always been attuned to other people’s emotions and feelings, perhaps someone said the word and it got you thinking, or perhaps you stumbled upon it all on your own. That’s what empathy a gift. Empaths have a massive amount of potential, but not all of them know how to release this potential. I’m going to show you how to do that. If you want to do that, however, you need to realize how incredibly crucial it is to accept yourself. I know it’s a lot easier said than done. This journey is not one of mere self-discovery, but of self-acceptance and self-improvement. Once you’ve accepted being an empath, along with all its pros and cons, you can use that gift to unlock your full potential and live your best life. You will no longer fight the gift you have. Instead, you’ll use it to your advantage. With self-acceptance and self-improvement, we can accomplish this. The first thing I need to tell you is that while an empath is highly sensitive, it is not a bad thing. Often, this gift can feel like a burden and a struggle rather than a good thing. I can promise you right now, you’re not being “too sensitive,” as some would say. The ability to feel things deeply—even when they are not necessarily yours to feel—is a gift. I know that it may make things difficult sometimes. You may not always understand why you’re feeling things as intensely as you are. Regardless, I’m going to show you why it’s a gift. I’m going to tell you all about empathy so that you can better understand what that gift is. And most importantly, I’m going to show you how to use this gift to thrive in life, rather than allow it to bring you down. This book covers the following …And much more In the end, empathy is a skill that you can use in lots of different aspects of life. It can help you form deeper bonds with people, it can inform you of when to stay away from others, and it can give you a boost of self-confidence. All you need to do is learn how to use it to your advantage. That’s where I come in. You know what they say, confidence is attractive. There is more than one form of attractiveness. Sure, everyone likes looking good, and if you feel good, that does come through. However, I’m referring to emotional, mental, and universal attraction. Once you’re confident with yourself and this gift of yours, good things are bound to come your way. They may be in the form of opportunities, they may be in the form of romance, and they may be in the form of friendships. Whatever the case may be, confidence will help you on your way to success. That explains a lot...

Holy cow, though book touched on a lot of different things I've known but never put together as being an empath. It was well formed quick read that just hit home on so many factors in my life since I was young. It's interesting seeing all these factors in this perspective and realize this could be the reason for so many things. Even when I was younger and one of my career goals was being a psychologist I was told that even though I would be good at it, I would end up bringing/carrying everyone's issues home with me and wouldn't be able to disconnect. Something similar was said about becoming a vet, I would take it hard when an animal was hurt or died. This is just a snippet of some of the factors but there's so much more laid out in this book.

I felt like she must have written it just for me.

I have always known I was an Empath. I am just owning it. I am a pediatric recovery room nurse. I could tell you if an unconscious person will wake up in pain, how much and where. Not just that i can manage their pain with things like breathing my patients do remarkably well and i give a much lower rate of IV narcotic. I found every page validating. I also feel like things that people often identify as autistic traits in me sound like they mirror an Empaths experience of the world. I have a few people I have already recommended this book to and as soon as I’m done typing I plan to look for the next book. I want to be her friend because I feel like she already knows me.

Pretty good intro and advice

This book explains what an empath is well. Where I think the book shines is the chapter on self-care for the empath. Because, being an empath means you have a gift, but that gift can drain you if you do not learn how to care dor yourself. So, the empath needs to learn how to heal themselves. Also, the next chapter is on how to tune out some of the world, which can be helpful so an empath is not constantly barraged womith emotions. I took a star off because the conclusion felt rushed and unfinished.

Being empathetic and being an Empath means you connect deeply through emotions with people. You're able to provide understanding as if what is being felt by another is your own emotion. This book gives you guidance to what being an Empath means and how to help others while also giving tips on protecting yourself for the emotional investment you've made with the people around you.

Pretty good book

Was ready to not like it but Dale proved me wrong. It's like having someone who cares about you telling you about being a highly sensitive person /empath. If you like listening to a kind advisor talking about how to appreciate yourself and get your life in track, you will like this book.

Thought Provoking

This book explained a lot about empaths, what they feel and how they think. I found this book left me with a lot to think about in terms of my own self care and how I relate to others. The most important chapter of this book is definitely about self care. I appreciate the explanations in the book.

Gentle Souls

Empaths are gentle souls who feel for everyone around them. Being an Empath could be a burden on one’s mental health. You need to surround yourself with positive people and experiences.
