It was a textbook, informative, a bit confusing when it came to dates, it jumps back and forth betwwen decades at times and it can get annoying but it is a textbook. Something that future readers should look out for is the way the book is set up, before diving in. Great pictures and maps.

As a History textbook to be used in the classroom, it was a nice change from college-written texts and to be given a fuller insight on the people, places, and events in American History.
