As a world-hopping tour guide, I can take you to places you’ve never even imagined.
But I’ve spent years avoiding what I was made and trained for.
I’m a destiny weaver and after a fellow weaver goes missing, I’m tasked with finding her.
My partners in this are the standoffish but sexy soul reaper, Soren, his not so trusty ‘hound’, Brogan, and Finn, a dragon shifter with a penchant for collecting some pretty weird ‘treasures’. I find myself drawn to these men. To this place. To collecting souls with Soren and Brogan and guarding the gate to the afterlife with Finn.
Fate, destiny, karma: turns out you can’t escape them forever, however hard you try. And my own destiny won’t wait.
Weave Them And Reap is a standalone reverse harem/why choose paranormal romance. That means our heroine will end up with more than one love interest by the end.
Essie Suter is a writer of paranormal and contemporary fantasy romance. She's a big fan of slow burns, enemies to lovers and forced proximity moments, whether the heroes are cinnamon rolls or alpha holes, the happily ever after is guaranteed!
Essie is a firm believer in the certainty of romance in uncertain times and finds fellow romance readers to be the best kind of people. She lives in the UK. When not ignoring the real-world swooning over love stories, she spends a lot of time cooking, wandering in the countryside, and smiling at other people's dogs.
What an amazing book to start off the new year! I really did enjoy the storyline and the character growth. I absolutely adore Soren. I was so close to giving this book 5 stars. However the ending kinda of dropped it for me. I understand that it was the end of Echo’s story however I feel like it could have done without the epilogue that’s 6 years later. Obviously Wren’s story is next and that cliffhanger epilogue was good however I feel like Echo and Wrens path is likely to cross again so maybe up wren’s epilogue would have been enough of an ending. But that’s just my personal feelings. I can’t wait to see what happens with Wren and hopefully Andrew is dealt with accordingly and not just forgotten about.

This story follows a destiny weaver named Echo. She thought she was content with teleporting humans and non-humans on tours of wild and sometimes disastrous places, with her not-so-happy sister, Jet. However she gets thrust into a mission to find a missing weaver, who helps determine where the souls of the recently deceased are destined to go. Echo with the help of a standoffish reaper, a fun-loving wolf shifter, and an overly affectionate dragon shifter, must find the weaver and return her to a garden overflowing with souls. I truly believe this was a fun book to read. The characters were cute, the mystery was fun, and everything about the weavers interested me. I also do love myself a good reverse harem story, especially when it involves fated mates. This is a quick read that actually does a good job at wrapping the story up as a standalone. Where it fell through was the pacing and the way characters were written at times. There were parts of the story that I felt should of had more information and storyline on. One example is the gate itself. They do explain that it is a trapped princess in a extra chapter at the end of the story, but I think that would have been nice to know during the story as well. Echo can talk to this gate by why can’t Soren or Brogan? There was a ton of time spent on the mystery in the beginning and then it almost felt like it was forgotten midway through the book. Didn’t feel like a smooth transition between plots either. I also feel like although the love interests had different personalities, they were sometimes written too similarly alike that I didn’t believe it was actually coming from that character. They all had a sort of golden retriever quality about them. It was especially weird coming from the so-called cold reaper, Soren. My favorite part of reverse harems are the fact that the MMCs are always very different from one another. There were also times where a character seemed to go through a ton of emotions at one time and didn’t quite make sense to me. Overall, I do think this is a good book if you want something fun and quick to read! Some parts made me chuckle. The mystery was fun to follow and try to solve! I would still recommend this standalone. Also interested to see how Wren’s story plays out in the next book!
Fails to mention it would be better to read the Stoneraven series first so you know who Manon is when they appear on scene. It also completely contradicts itself with everything you learn. Mages don't have fate bonds, but apparently they do. Mages don't get pregnant, but apparently they can. And so on. The world isn't ever explained, although maybe it was in the other series, who knows because it doesn't tell you to read it first. Characters do 180 personality swaps with zero explanations or logic. Every single character is TSTL when it comes to hormones. Seriously. No one knows how to track a person down and they alternate between half-a55ing it and abandoning it altogether. There are 3 things that make a book good: character development, world building, and a hooking plot. The characters are 2D caricatures- but not in a fun way, there is zero world building, and the plot is abandoned left and right until suddenly it isn't but is wrapped up in a completely ridiculous way. Two shifters and a reaper and not a 1 knows how to look for traps? They've been holding a mage hostage for weeks, a powerful mage, and they think an ordinary human could do that...how?
If a series is dependent on a previous series for world building, mention it. Have a book reading order list on your website or something.
If you want readers to bond to characters, give them something to bond to. Steam isn't bonding. It isn't romantic. Just label this as erotica already and be done. Erotica isn't a bad thing, it just isn't romance and shouldn't be labeled as such. It also doesn't require much of anything besides the steam scenes, so no pesky details to set up.
If the plot is going to be about finding a lost mage, have the characters actually care about it. And when they discover possible interference, have them look at that, too, instead of ignoring it. You'd think the characters would want to know how they came to be since the system sucks and causes them so much emotional trauma. But no. They also don't inform others there are other ways. And why are there so many different kinds of mages if they all seem to be shoved into the same few cookie cutter roles? Makes no sense.
Good start to a new PNR series. A story about trying to escape your destiny and living the life you choose by running away from fate. This was Echo's plan since leaving the Weaver Academy. She is a Destiny Weaver and didn't want the responsibility of choosing someone's fate.
When a fellow Weaver goes missing Echo is called upon to assist in the search and rescue. Not knowing what fate had in store for her, she meets not 1 but 3 mates in the form of a Grim Reaper, H3llhound and a Dragon. As Echo works to help her mates find their Fate Weaver, Echo finds herself feeling as if her belongs with her mates. This was a slow burn reverse harem that focused more on Echo and her mates working together to find their missing weaver than the physical aspect of their polyamorous relationship.
After a mad dash between worlds Echo and her mates are drawing closer to the missing weaver but when Echo goes missing its up to her mates to prove to her that fate has brought them together and her destiny is with them.
Echo spent years running from her true destiny only for fate to steer her in the direction she was suppose to go all along.
I had a blast with Essie's debut RH, Shadow Chaser: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance, so when I saw that Essie was releasing another RH, I knew I had to read it! Unfortunately, though, I didn't enjoy this entry as much as that trilogy. I still love Essie's writing style here, but I felt the dynamics between Echo and her men were a little too rushed and the romance was a bit forced. It's totally understandable as Echo's story is a standalone compared to a trilogy. The pacing's bound to be rushed especially as they're fated and all. But I'm just not that big of a fan of insta-lust/love, especially when it's this fast, so it's more of a me issue than anything else. The chemistry was still believable enough and it was still really fun to see Soren warm up to the idea and learn not to be an asshole, Brogan holding the boat afloat and being suuuper chill and bro-ey, and Finn just IMMEDIATELY going all-in. 🤣
The overall plot was still pretty decent, and even though we don't see a lot of side characters too often, I did enjoy the bits we get and the cameo too! All of the characters were still pretty fun, and the worldbuilding was pretty interesting, but this still was a little bit of a miss for me because of I had a strong desire to connect more with Echo, and actually all of the characters. Because I feel like I understood Manon from Pain Eater while Echo just felt a bit less fleshed out, so it surprised me a bit. I also didn't completely understand Jet and wished that Echo had a better friendship, especially as it was such an important one to her. 😅 And finally, despite everything I've said about this one, I'm also actually SUPER excited in reading the next book. I'm actually WAY more invested in that character than Echo despite the small presence here. 😆
Disclaimer: I received a review copy for free via BookSirens, but I am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Many thanks to the author for the opportunity!
This was my first read from this author and I thought they did a good job with this storyline and relationship and world-building. I thought Echo was hilarious and awesome, she was a quirky FMC and her relationship with her mates was fun. I think her relationship with her sister always felt off and we didnt get some answers in this book regarding the Academy and the Headmistress, but I am hoping maybe we get more answers in future books. I know we get Wren’s story next but I wonder if Echo’s “sister” will get one too.
I enjoyed reading about Echo’s powers and role in the universe. Her abilities were super powerful and it was tough to see what happened when she put off her destiny and left the others in the lurch. I am glad it was addressed though. I really enjoyed 2 of the 3 mates and their relationship building with Echo. I thought Finn was hilarious but a huge dragon teddy bear. His thoughts about hatchlings was adorable and the way we all thought he was crazy talking to the gate made everything even more awesome once the reveal came with Echo haha. I liked his random hoards of items and at the end when his jewelry was being used and his reactions, made me heart happy and a huge smile on my face. I liked his protectiveness of his mate (by the way we never got his age!!). Brogan was also a fabulous mate for Echo. I liked how he was the golden retriever of the bunch and was actually a shifter haha. I loved his family, his infectious attitude, and how he tried to keep Soren out of his head/safe all these years. Soren to me was the most misunderstood and I usually like his character trope the most, esp grumpy/sunshine, but his relationship felt the most neglected/wasnt given a real chance to flourish. Like I was super happy when they finally laid their feelings out and things happened, but the flow/lead-up didnt feel right. Some things felt rushed or out of the blue (like doing this while others were around, if you catch my drift) or his dirty talk haha. I liked it but some things didnt feel in character and I think it was because of his lead-up and how they handled things after their barriers came down. That was the main reason I couldnt give it a 5 stars, this relationship just didnt feel quite right/Soren was given as much time/room to get out of his head. We didnt get his POV enough I think like we did the others.
I am interested to see what happens with the other side characters, especially with what happened to Wren at the end. I wonder if we will get any cameos from her friend from the garden and her replacement (I am assuming they will be a couple at some point haha). Again I also was some closure regarding the academy and their leader, along with Echo’s sister. Solid 4/5 stars from me, will definitely be picking up the next book to see how Wren finds her mates and gets out of her predicament hahaha.
During the last couple of years I've really figured out what kind of stories I like and what stories I should avoid. It therefore rarely happens that I request a review copy from a book and I end up not liking it. However, sometimes a book sounds perfect for me. And sometimes it turns out that the book and I weren't a great match. So, when I requested this book on BookSirens I didn't know it wouldn't really be the book for me.
It's hard to explain why this book wasn't really for me. I think the most important reason is that the book lacks detail. Everything in this book goes incredibly quickly. When it comes to the romance that's partly because of the mate bond, but still. Even with a mate bond I like characters really getting to know each other and forming an emotional connection based on conversations. I had the feeling in this case we simply got too few scenes like that.
The same goes for the world building. I'm pretty sure the world is interesting and filled with endless possibilities, but I never felt like I understood how the world works. A lot is just stated, without an explanation. And I personally don't mind having to figure out how a fantasy world works by witnessing it, but I feel like we didn't get to see enough to really understand everything. That made the world building a little wobbly.
So, both the romance and the world building were promising but lacked the depth or detail I'd have preferred. And unfortunately the mystery element of the disappeared girl shared that fate. It seemed that the mystery storyline was actually not that important, but more of an "excuse" for our characters to meet and bond. Therefore the characters sometimes worked on finding the missing girl and then forgot about that part of the story for quite some time.
I think the book is promising, but in this case more, both details and depth and logic, would have made the book better.
I was interested in this book right away from the blurb. I have not read a book with weavers really and the concept was super interesting to me. Overall I did really like this book. As someone who normally gravitates for more serious or dark reads this was a nice little light hearted why choose. There is no MM and limited group spicy scenes.
Honestly my favorite character was actually Cam. She was a side character but I lived that she just was sassy and also skeptical which to me made total sense in the current situations.
The world building and magic system were super interesting. I do with that there had been more of that in this book. The weavers and reapers seemed so interesting and I would have loved to get to learn more about them. We also get glimpses and mentions of these other worlds and I wish we could have explored that idea more. I also wish we could have gotten more of a focus on the Wren storyline but I understand that the mystery solving portion was not really the main focus of the story but I just loved that plot line.
The book is really a romance more than anything else. The fantasy and mystery are really on the back burner of the storyline. Right away the focus is on the mates and their relationships.
I struggled a bit with Finn's character at times as well as some of Echo's internal dialogue. Both just felt a bit juvenile at times but I did end up literally laughing out loud often.
I overall did really like this book and I think it is a good thing that the parts I was missing out on show how much I did enjoy parts of this book. If you are looking for more of a light hearted why choose romance with very light fantasy elements I would recommend this book.
WEAVE THEM AND REAP is the first book in the Weavers of the Ether series and, I'm not 100% sure, but it feels like it's a spin-off from a different series. Whether it is or not, I enjoyed this story of a renegade weaver finding her destiny and three mates at the same time!
There are other characters I'm hoping have stories told about - the princess in the Gate, Cam, Leif, Jet, and Wren, to name just some. But this story was about Echo, Finn, Brogan, and Soren. Four very different people who have a mate bond… if they accept it.
I'll be honest, Echo was a little annoying to start with. Her constantly happy mood, even when Jet was cussing her, was a bit much but I do know people who are like that, which made it all the more believable! Brogan was the one to hold everyone together, always chilled - until he's not. Finn was the lonely dragon who found everything he didn't know he was looking for. And Soren - oh, man - I've saved the best for last. Mr Ice who was slowly but surely melted. What a great group.
This is the first book by this author I have read and I was drawn in from the first page. The world intrigues me, as do the characters, and I look forward to reading more in this series and also by the author. The overall story arc has been left wide open, although, with the epilogue, we know Echo and her guys are certainly happy enough!
Thoroughly enjoyable and definitely recommended by me. ** same worded review will appear elsewhere **

This is a multi pov rh fantasy book. Echo our fmc is a Destiny weaver on the run with her sister Jet from their fates and high level weavers when she's found and given a mission to find a missing weaver in exchange for a favor. She soon finds herself with 3 mates. Soren a soul/Grim reaper, Brogan, a hound, and Finn a gatekeeper Dragon. I really liked this book and how different it is from alot of the mainstream and other books in its category. No MM, which for me was great. Not every RH/poly book needs it and a lot of authors are on the mm bandwagon which is fine for those that like it, but for those like me who doesn't sip from that cup of tea, I need more books like this. There were definitely some sexy dirty talking from the guys and spicy scenes, although I wouldn't have minded there being a bit more. I loved the epilogue we got from Finn's pov. I would have liked a epilogue from each guys pov and maybe even echo's as well. But the one we got was so cute. I hope to see them again as well as the woman who helped heal Finn and her guys and their story. I'm not sure what to say about Jet. I'm sure she loves Echo but she was also mean and bitter at times. I hope she finds her mate(s) and place to belong and comes to peace with her powers so we can see her have a hea and hopefully also a reunion with her sister and a chance to meet her neices. Wren's story looks like it's off to a interesting start and I plan to read it. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
I had so much fun reading about this world and how everythings works there. There were so many roles to be fulfilled and I was very interested to read about the weavers.
I‘m a sucker for a good reverse harem book and this book didn‘t let me down. Every MMC had a different character which I adored so much!!
(Ok I know parents always say there’s never a favorite child but we all know they’re lying so I’m definitely going to say Brogan was my absolute fave!!)
Echo and her personality was one of my favorite things about this book.
I could relate to her sunshine-y demeanor and how she tried to make situaions better with her smile and enthusiasm.
She also wasn‘t too shy about their intimate connection which made it a easy going story.
And her powers omg who wouldn‘t want to jump to literally every place in every world that exists out there. Thats just so cool and I‘m happy we got to see so much of that in this book!
The spice is A+ but tbh I‘m a sucker for a good cuddle session and some intimate moments without the spice too and this book had plenty of Aww and feel cute moments.
I need to say I‘m a tad bit disappointed that some things haven‘t been resolved or just not talked about it anymore but maybe some mysterys will be talked about in the next book so I‘m looking forward to that!

I love that the author adds a content breakdown at the beginning of the book so that readers can get an idea of what they are in for incase there could be any triggering subjects or scenes. I will say, definitely read over this because the author is very descriptive, which is great, just make sure you’re okay with the content.
The story is well written with many twists starting within even the first few chapter. It was a fun experience because the author was great about making sure they did not wear out one topic or avenue too long, keeping up a great pace to keep you on the edge of your seat. The main characters were also a delight because their personalities all worked really well together, though very different, there was always a comical/joking like best friends feeling to their interactions that had me genuinely invested in wanting to see the best outcome for each one of them.
Overall, it was a good read. I cannot wait to see Wren’s story in the spring.

This one was a miss for me, which is a shame because I loved the Stoneraven Alphas trilogy.
I liked the crime-solving part of the story, but I didn't connect with the characters and the romance was a little meh for me. I typically don't mind insta-love, especially when it's with fated mates. However, something about this one just didn't do it for me.
When it comes to the mystery plot, the ending left a bit to be desired. It wrapped up too quickly and we didn't see enough of Echo acting like a little detective. But what we did get was fun. Arguably my favorite parts of the book.
Now, I don't wanna judge this book too harshly. I think part of my bland feelings towards it had to do with when I read it. I'm a mood reader and it might have been that it wasn't the right time for this book. But I know the author can do better, so I'm dropping this series and keeping an eye out for her next books.

Oh my gosh, what a lovely RH story. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Each of the men were so lovable it was ridiculous. Have to say I seriously loved Finn. He was just a gorgeous character and his all in attitude towards Echo was just so beautiful.
Brogan was very enjoyable as well and just so easy to fall in love with him and the way he had about him and his love for Echo.
Soren was the serious one however, over the journey of this book it was just so cute to see him come out of his shell and become just as lovable as the other two guys.
The four of them together was just a sweet combination and just fell in love straight off the bat or in this case from the very beginning.
I feel this will be a book I will love to reread often as it had such a feel good vibe to it which I just loved.
Now the epilogue was everything and more and so freaking funny and oh so cute.

Really enjoyed this fated mates RH gem! Echo is real and sweet and just floating through life with her opposite, her best friend Jet. Until a mystery is in need of solving and her powers of travel are needed to help. She meets her mates over the course of a few days at a magical garden with a magic gate that is picturesque in description. The guys are opposites and funny and real. Loyal and sweet, grumpy and passionate, devoted and obsessed. I love Soren, Brogan and Finn equally. Their dynamic is hilarious and keeps the pages turning. So steamy and passionate. With a might be evil academy and enemies hidden in plain sight this is a series I want to continue! Recommend!

This is an interesting bumbling reverse harem romance. The characters take some time to figure things out. The MFC has been running from her destiny only to find that her destiny is exactly what she wants. The dichotomy of her mates is interesting as 2 are extreme loners but handle relationships from completely opposite ends of the spectrum.
This is a rather fast paced paranormal mystery storyline-wise though the romantic relationships take a little bit to develop. Overall it's mostly sweetish and it sets up the series for a variety of directions it could go.
On a side note I don't like her sister
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Not much to say other than the consistently repetitive wording detracted from the story for me. It was so bad that the first introduction to the “evil headmistress” had you a little concerned with her intelligence considering the ONLY word she knew for half the conversation was “indeed”….
The FMC had an “I don’t wanna!” Childish vibe through the whole book. Complaining about her “duty” to mankind and the slavery of being a fate to keep the balance. Her whole personality was obnoxious.
Most of this is all personal opinion so enter at your own risk. The presentation was lame to say the least, the plot could have used some more work and the details needed fine tuning. It was very inconsistent and monotonous.
This book was sooo much better than I could have imagined. I typically do not read books with fewer than 300 pages but this was such a refreshing and quick read. The plot was written well and I am excited for the sequel. There were a few small holes in the plot but they were either resolved or non important. The grammar was good and the different points of view were captured in a way that helps the reader to really understand the characters. I received this book as an advanced free copy and am writing this review voluntarily. Overall I recommend to anyone who enjoys books with spice, romance, danger, and fate.
The storyline was good. There was a couple incidents I had to reread one section to clarify who was speaking, it wasn't always clear. Other then that it's written well, short easy to read story. This is a slow burn so if you are looking for a spice filled books this is not it. However, there are some really good spicy scenes within the storyline. Characters are easy to love, I was a little thrown off how easily Echo fell into a relationship and wanted to stay after fighting her role for so long but, maybe that was the bond that pulled her in so easy. Just felt there should have been a little resistance since she ran for so long from her duty there.
Essie has provided us with another great story. I immediately fell in love with Echo, Brogen, Soren and Finn. They are brought together to solve a mystery and discover along the way they are fated mates, which comes as a shock to all. All three guys are complete opposites and each bring different things to the relationship. Essie is very descriptive throughout the story with all the characters and their internal struggles. Overall a fantastic story and can't wait for her next story. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really liked Echo - she and her sister have been sort of on the run/hiding from the academy that assigns their jobs/roles. Echo wants to protect her sister. They’ve been working by using their powers to take supernatural tourists to other realm/worlds. When Echo is sort of blackmailed/summoned to help a soul reaper, hound, and dragon to find missing weavers. Sutter has created an interesting world. Echo is sweet, and the guys have some connections to her that she doesn’t realize. I loved Finn, Brogan, and Soren and their garden/home.
I was excited to see this series since I loved Echo from the glimpse we got in the previous series (Stoneraven Alpha's) set in the same universe, Stoneraven Alpha's, and this blew my expectations out of the water
I love everything about all of the men assigned to the Garden, Soren's the best kind of grumpy butt, Brogan is the lovable golden retriever type XD, and Finn's obsessiveness with the gate and then Echo is perfection.
The balance they all have with each other is hard fought, but so worth it in the end.
I received a free copy of this novel, and am leaving my honest review. This story had great range! It had rebellion from expectations and being true to yourself, but manage to tie in fate and have it all fit seamlessly. It had characters that felt such love and lust, and ones filled past the brim with rage, as well as ones tht were just nonchalant. The plot flies and the story builds and things change enough that it feels fresh without those changes being so out of the box that you feel blindsided. Loved it!
This book does an excellent job introducing the world and setting up for this story and those that follow. It is fun and spicy read, although the dialogue is a bit stilted at times (this isn’t an issue in books 2 and 3 of this series). It can be difficult to balance both character progression and page time when writing a menage, and it is very well done in this book. I will, without a doubt, happily pick up whatever Essie writes next.
Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.
A very cute and quirky romance. This book was a fun light read with a lot of steam, drama and a bit of mystery. I love how the author kept the story in line with the main character Echo's personality. The story stayed upbeat even when it could have taken a really dark turn. It was a breath of fresh air and a great start to the series. I can't wait to see if Book 2 has the same feel or if it goes for the dark side of the story since Wren has a very different personality.
This is a totally different book from any book I’ve ever read. It took me a few chapters to understand what was going on but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed watching Echo interact with her mates. Finn was my favourite, he’s a singleminded straightforward dragon who loves his mate. Overall I really enjoyed the book and would definitely like to read more. I received this book from BookSirens. I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Interesting storyline, a bit different to others in this genre. However, the characters never really developed much and some of the more interesting fight scenes were cut short. I’d rather have had more of that than all the too frequent steamy parts. Never really engaged emotionally with this even in the parts that were supposed to provoke a response. I received this as an ARC and leave this review voluntarily
Sunshine/ grumpy trope is great when it’s done right.. this dynamic just felt fake and forced with no real chemistry in sight. There is no intensity to this, nothing that really hooks you into the words or what is happening in the story. This book didn’t envelop me into its world, or make me feel like I was right there watching it all happen- I was mostly just bored af.
I really liked the book.. Loved the characters and storyline. But I felt like it needed to be a triology because I really felt like there were so much more story to tell. And this book held enough important event to weave it together in the end. So much potential. This is just how I feel about it. It could have been epic. Because it was so easy to fall in love with the Mc’s and the world the author build.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book has a really great storylijne about fate weavers. The heroine ends up with 3 different mates or husbands all together. Before they met her they all lived in a very lonely existence. The only one who was raised in a very loving family was Brogan. He is a shifter and they are very touchy feely. A lot sex in the book and I think that is mostly the time they use curse words. Great characters except for Jet but she isn’t in the book much.
