Hannah and Amos
Hannah is excited. She is 17, and Amos is supposed to meet her at the sing, only she can't seem to find him. She asks his cousin Nathaniel, who is engaged to her best friend Mary, if he has seen him, only Nathaniel has to deliver some bad news. He can't believe that Amos has left the task of telling Hannah to him. It seems Amos has taken off for the big city. He isn't leaving the faith. He just needs to experience... more. It takes three years for Hannah to realize that he isn't coming back. So when Elijah asks to court her, she agrees. They are happy getting to know one another and are soon married. They have two boys, Jeremiah and Jacob,but while Jacob is still very young, Elijah is killed in an accident. It has been eight years since Amos was home, but he's now back and has no intention of leaving again. He finds his cousin Nathaniel at the market and is now staying with him and Mary and their four children. Will he get up the nerve to visit Hannah? Does he still love her? What about Hannah? Another great story.
I loved Amos and Hannah's love story, it showed even after years of separation between two people, love can come back.

Bittersweet
Someone has a heart of gold to have survived all that she did. Never wish those things on anyone. But her story is a delight to read.
