Clear, practical description and advice if you suddenly find yourself with a blown out knee (torn meniscus in my case.) Good rehab protocols.

I've read a few 'knee' books lately and all the information
begins to look similar, which isn't necessarily bad, it
reinforces and verifies the exercises, opinions
on what causes what, treatments and useful medicines.

I like the 'Knee Crisis Handbook' because indeed it does
have a handbook style orientation and a lot of info in one
place: you can go to a specific chapter without having to read
the whole book, or you can avoid a chapter -'how to prepare for
surgery', if that isn't what you're up to.

I learned a few new exercises and there are some good
checklists that help you pick out what would be relevant
for you in that chapter.

The most informative book I've found on knee pain. There were a lot of light bulb moments contained within. I don't use the exercises in it (I use Core Performance), but it was a good read just for understanding my knees (there's even a special chapter on concerns for women) and what to expect from my doctor/therapist.

A focus on treating the person, not only the knee. Chapter topics include preventing knee injuries, the most common knee problems, surgery, physical therapy & exercises, complementary approaches (such as herbs & acupuncture).
