Good info on products, but biased towards a specific parenting style (cribs, bouncy seats, monitors, pacifiers, and all kinds of other equipment are important and totally necessary) and financial style (buy everything new! Your baby is depending on it!).

I thought this book would be like the magazine, where they compare products and rate them in all of the categories- safety, durability, easy to use, etc. Some of the products they did display these comparison charts, but most of them they did not. The chapters talked about what to look for in a car seat or crib, etc., but I wanted to know which ones they thought were the best (and worst).
I don't think this gave me any better advice about choosing good baby products then what I already knew.

I was dissapointed that there weren't more specific pics for the many categories it discusses. Also, many of the items that were top pics weren't detailed enough that I can actually find the make and model at a store.

Not very helpful. You can find all the same info online without getting this book. Very generalized, limited comparison charts, content doesn't match cover description.

This book provides somewhat helpful product reviews and safety notes throughout, but provides skimpy information regarding options within every product category. Baby Bargains is better.

Very broad, good overview of all baby products one might need, but didn't rate various products against each other in every catagory (car seats for example).
