A romance story with a sci-fi back drop. Grumpy/sunshine vibes with a dash of forced proximity. Two of my favorite tropes! Love that stands the test of time and chemistry that cannot be extinguished. Beautiful love story and hot spice!

Great romance in a sci fi setting, but....
But the world is much darker than it first appears. There is graphic violence and references to past torture and sexual abuse, as well as graphic consensual sex. I liked Arie and Johnny and was too hooked to quit reading when the darkness reared its ugly head. And more bad stuff is coming in book 2, as well as one of my most disliked tropes, a love triangle. Initiation is well-written; I'm not sure to what the title refers, but I don't think the title fits the book.

Could not put this book down!!

This was a fast paced, spicy book that I could not put down! The angst, tension and storyline kept me hooked. I can’t wait for the sequel!
