Some parts were really really good while frustrating in certain paragraphs but it's still a good readable conclusion to the series.

The final book in this series. I can say that because of how this ended.

Kendall remains a mystery and I just love it. Robyn is struggling a bit, nevertheless they find their way or better yet their equilibrium.

This is a fitting ending for a very nice series. I’ve really enjoyed the alternating first person POV chapters from both characters, but I especially liked being in Kendall’s head space. Even when you are in there you have no idea what she’ll do next and if she is actually being good. The author does such an amazing job with these characters.

If I would have judged these books solely on their covers I would have skipped them, because let’s be honest, they aren’t the best. The writing more than makes up for it.
I’ll be checking out more books by this author because the writing style and the types of stories available seem to be right up my alley.

Finally we get to book 3 in the Crossing Lines series. I was wondering what is there still to cover in the last part because it already happened so much. But knowing Barbara Winkes I knew she will come up with another fantastic story and I was right.

Soon after Kendall came clean and she and Robyn try to have a life together things blow up again. Once more they get shown how difficult it is to balance both their lives together when everyone around them seems to not like them being together. What’s different this time that there are less secrets between them, they work together as best they can and in the end they discover the missing pieces mostly because they were able to combine their strengths and knowledge.

Barbara Winkes has written another fast paced and never being boring story. It kept me on my toes just like book 1 & 2 did and once again I was so happy I got to read this series. Me the usually only reading romance reader had the most wonderful time with Kendall & Robyn. I highly recommend this whole series because what Barbara Winkes did is brilliant and shows what an incredible author she is.

I received an advance reader copy from the author and voluntarily leaving a review.

So good!

Kendall and Robyn have committed to one another, but happy ever after can’t come without more surprises and uncertainty!

Vengeance is the third book in the Crossing Lines series and nicely wraps up some loose ends from the first two books. The plot for this instalment was amazing! It was completely unexpected and I didn’t expect anything less. Kendall and Robyn have already been through so much, there was no way they were going to get what they wanted without a few more issues to overcome.

The balance throughout this story of happy moments with on edge secrets and unforeseen events made a great balance. I loved how Barbara incorporated it all and had us once again wondering who could be trusted and whether anything was going to spoil this amazing connection and happiness they had found. Kendall and Robyn have such an amazing connection that when they teamed up to get to the bottom of everything seeping out and threatening their happiness that I just knew they’d be unstoppable, no matter what.

I have adored every minute of this series, and Vengeance has to be my favourite part so far. It was those lighter intimate and cute moments that just made it all that more special. Hopefully this isn’t the last of Kendall and Robyn and they’ll be back in future books!

I loved this entire series. It’s such a great plot line. I especially liked how the two MCs were in love, but had a real world relationship where things weren’t always sunshine and rainbows. The author writes in a style that only insinuates in cases, so it leaves the reader paying attention and guessing a little instead of force feeding the details. I like this, but at times the convos were a little too vague. That or I’m just a little slow and need the details force fed. Probably a 50/50 chance on that. I’ll definitely be picking up more stories by Winkes.

This is the continuation of FBI agent Robyn and head of the Mancini Group, Kendall's love story. They're now married and have another mystery to solve. They have each other to lean on and believe in. Kendal has to keep the Mancini Group together with Robyn's help. I found this to be an excellent ending to the series. 5 stars!

This book is about how Kendall and Robyn settle in their life together, still trying to figure out how their respective world can merge. Robyn is a law women while Kendall can bend the rules sometimes and particularly when someone she cares about is involved. That aspect was really interesting. I was a bit sad for Robyn and her finale decision, it felt like she was giving up a part of herself even if i understand why she did it.
Of course, they have to deal with a new threat, and death seems to follow Kendall everywhere she goes. Like the first two books, this third novel has a really fast pace, sucking you in until you finish the book.
I will admit i was expecting a final big betrayal that didn’t come (resulting from the paranoia i build up since book one). The happy ending seemed almost to good to be true given the world the characters live in where there will always be someone showing up to take power. The writer didn’t choose the darker path and romantic readers will be delighted.
Overall, i enjoyed this serie and had a good time reading it. It made me want to dive into crime/thriller readings more.

Can't say that I was expecting them to get married at the beginning of the book, but nor was I surprised. It was hinted at, after all, and another step in their developing relationship, and this time a commitment to each other. Robyn and Kendall do make a good pair, and make each other happy, even with all that is going on.

And there is still stuff going on. In Kendall's world, something is always simmering in the background, and of course it surfaces. But neither of them are standing still - the have each other to protect and think about, after all.

I really enjoyed the final book in the trilogy. It has the same feel as the previous two, with the continual back and forth between Robyn and Kendall, and how they go about showing their feelings. We get to look at them solidifying their relationship, and their places in their new life together.

And a cute epilogue too! Though wow - that was quite a timeskip. It does mean that the series is fully wrapped up, and all in all a light, fast paced and enjoyable read.

Kendall & Robyn have been through so much, but there’s a little more to take care of before their happily ever after can begin. You’ll have to grab this book to find out if their HEA happens or if they even survive the journey.
Barbara has written a good closing book in her Crossing Lines series. She ties up loose ends & shows how love truly can win. Her characters are well written & the flow of their love story reads smoothly right up to “The end”. I wish there could be a book 4, but I really think Barbara did a great job ending their story here. I enjoyed this trilogy & I can’t wait to see what Barbara has in store for us in the future.

Wink! Wink!😉 Winkes did it again!

Coincidence or Vengeance? Kendall and Robyn tie the knot and then must put their heads together to solve this one - could it be vengeance? Together, they dredge up the past and analyze relationships going back in Mancini family history. Has there been a mystery person lurking in the background, now ready to make a move, take power and control from Kendall? Who from the past could be pulling strings from prison - Frank, Luca, anyone else from the Bianca clan? Barbara Winkes and her masterful plotting will keep you guessing and changing directions, right up to the very end. I read it in one afternoon - it’s that good!

AGood series needs a good strong ending, this is it!

Barbara Winkes delivered a beautiful, heart warming ending following high drama and suspense culminating in a really really strong and tidy ending. I have been mesmerized by the characters from the start, that along with the intricacies of the twists just propelled the story through the high anxiety of the situations the characters faced. Such imagination and word smithing is remarkable.

another entitled man, another challenge

All I hope is for a peacefully existence for Robyn & Kendal. Yes I’m invested it’s book three & I’ve read them cover to cover. With only necessary breaks.
But there is always another entitled man who starts picking off friend & foe including Kendal & Robyn. To ensure the clan is once again run by a man.

It’s all the bonds of family to take him on. But with the love of Kendal & Robyn plus the FBI …,

Please real all three

The third and final book in the Crossing Lines series is a must-read. Everything seems perfect for Kendall and Robyn now that they've made it through countless conflicts, but how much more can they take? If you like sapphic reads and investigative mysteries, check out book three to discover what happens.

Basically an end of the series

This book is basically just an end of the series, wrapping up the unresolved story lines & tying up whatever remaining threads that were to conclude. Honestly, not my favorite (or even liked) series considering what I expect from the author & the potential in its premise & narrative. Not a hardship to read, just not all that fulfilling.

Yet another great book from Ms. Winkes. I didn't want to put it down. It was exciting and had twists and turns. I love the characters. It was unpredictable and very enjoyable. It captured my attention right from the first chapter. I'm sorry to see the series end but she wrapped it up very nicely. I highly recommend the entire series.
