Sold into a life of prostitution by her greedy uncle, innocent Gisella Trelain finds herself a prisoner in a dark and ominous dungeon. Chained to the wall is a muscular, naked man named Tristan who tells her he is under a curse. Every month he is doomed to lose his humanity and take on the characteristics of a ravening beast-a beast with needs too savage to be satisfied by any ordinary woman. In order to break the curse, Gisella must submit completely to the beast and offer herself freely to slake his fierce sexual desires. But the stakes are high in this fairytale come true and if Gisella isn't able to open herself completely to Tristan's lusts, she may lose her life as she attempts to tame the beast.
Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.
Gisella's uncle sells her into prostitution to pay off his debts. When Tristan's servant is looking for someone to be with his master, she jumps at the chance to be with only 1 man instead of many. She thinks that afterwards she'll just take off and make a life for herself. Tristan has been cursed to become a beast once a month with a raging sex drive and if the woman doesn't escape, she better submit or she'll die. No one has been able to submit to the beast and part of how he can get out of this curse. Now Gisella has a choice to make, help Tristan or run screaming.
The story was very good. I was a little afraid with Gisella being a virgin that we might have a lot of this running away even though she's intrigued stuff going on, but I liked the way this book was written.
I've read a couple of books by Evangeline Anderson and liked them, but this one, unfortunately, was a disappointment. It even had a beauty and the beast theme, and I still didn't like it. The hero was interesting, although I thought he needed quite a bit longer to go from zero to sixty with the heroine (). The heroine was basically TSTL for me, despite being a somewhat likeable stupid girl. And there were a zillion plot holes in the wrap up. I am definitely planning on sticking to Anderson's contemporaries from now on, and even then, warily.
I usually don't hate anything I've read but this one I did. First of all the female lead was too stupid to live for sure. How could she blindly trust her creepy uncle. Especially since he was insunuating wha he always did. Second how could she go there so quietly. I wanted to choke her. I wanted to slap some common sense to her. I have to stop. I've never been this angry at a weak minded woman before.
This book reminds me of a soft pornografic Barbara Cartland. In spite of the attempt to write a sexually explicit or exciting description of the Beast and the Vigin, it came across as juvinal and sad.
18+ Spoilers: This is a short book one that I think had potential to be a novel and not just a short story. It's got the whole help less heroin and a fierce cursed male it reminds me of Beauty and the Beast. In her attempt to get away from an uncle who is a slime ball. Thinking that she is going to join to the convent it's a shock when she finds herself in the red light district or there version of it they are on a different planet after all... Been sold to a brothal to pay off her uncles dept she risks it all when a stranger wants to buy one of the women thinking that she can see an escape she offers herself and the greedy pimp take the offer and sells her. She has been bought by a "prince" curse holds him hostage a beast within scared she agrees to try and help free him submitting to him.
This book is18+ as it deals with adult issues Not for the faint hearted
This book was ok. It was too short. She (Evangeline Anderson) had a very good story line and I just wish she could have developed it a bit more. Yes, there is a lot of sex, but aside from that the story really had my attention. This was about Tiffani was sick and tired of her dead end job and the path her life was taking so she decides to become an interstellar bride. She is mated to an Atlan Warlord Deek. Deek has lost control of his beast within himself so he is jailed and if he doesn't get a woman to tame his beast he will be executed. Tiffani is his mate and refuses to pick another as Deek is in jail. She is nervous but enters the jail. Will not say any more as would give away the ending. Quite good story line. Would recommend.
A short story about a young girl who has her creepy uncle literally sell her to a brothel owner to pay off his debts. She hears about somebody asking for a woman to help break a curse, and she jumps at the chance.
The story has hints of Beauty and the Beast... if the only way to break the curse is with sex.
I thought that it was really good, although I kind of wish that this had been longer. I kind of would have liked to explore the world a little bit more. I've read some of Anderson's other works in the past, and I thought that they were fun, but the thing that made me keep going back to her works was because of the relationships between the characters.
Another one I’m embarrassed to admit I read. I do enjoy Beauty and the Beast retellings which is the only reason I picked this one up, despite knowing by the look of the cover exactly what this would end up being like.
It was a very short reading and very steamy one, buttttt there is no plot, IMO. Like ugh, it's so cliché but I think that's the whole point of this genre, no?
Spicy 🔥🔥🔥 Trama ⭐⭐
This book is about a lady who would sacrifice her virginity to a beast to lift up a curse. The story is good enough with the description of Giselle being duped by her uncle and bartered to a brothel. The build up of the story is also nice, with the mystery of the beast that she must appease in exchange for her freedom; but the final moment is somehow short and let down for me. It seems like the story have been fast-forwarded in the end with no justice serve to her uncle who sold her in the first place. Anyway, this seems like a raunchy version of Beauty and the Beast with Giselle being a willing sacrifice.
Beauty and the beast type story. Short little read for those looking for that. It's not as hot of a read as I was hoping for but too not bad. It's a bit skimpy on an actual story though, would be much better if it was flushed out. It starts quick and ends just as quick.
I read this book a long time ago but since joining Good Reads I wanted to review it because it is really the book that turned me on to Ellora's Cave books. This fairytale-esque book manages to be both sweet and incredibly hot--not an easy feat in the erotica category! Ellora's Caves are my favorite late-night treat.
