Now, however, the two Watchmen must team up, leaving the placid Lake Country for the forests of Scandinavia. To r

I found it really hard to like Kierland throughout Touch of Seduction, he was a total twit and idiot and really someone (namely Ashe) should have smacked him around a bit. Morgan and Kierland have this really complicated history together when they used to be in the academy together. Kierland was Morgan’s teacher and they both had the hots for each other but Kierland was too moral and decided to date someone else to keep his hands off Morgan (she was too young), which broke Morgan’s heart and she ...more

I really liked this book and would have rated it higher, but Kier was such a pompous ass that for me it took away from the story. He has loved Morgan right from when he saw her. So what does he do, well he takes up with another woman, causes Morgan to run to another man for comfort, thinks that she sells herself to the greater good of the group and even in an earlier book offered her body to help Ian get through his transition. With all of those actions I just don't get why Morgan fell for him a ...more

TOUCH OF SURRENDER by Rhyannon Byrd is a paranormal romance. It is the fifth in the Primal Instinct but can be read as a stand alone. It is well written with depth, detail, twists and turns. It has sadistic villians, betrayal, sensuality, evil, good. life, death, Lycans, Vampires, shape shifters, and romantic musunderstandings. The characters are strong, smart, determined, likable and will keep you guessing. The hero, Keirland, is strong, jealous, possisive, dominating, bossy, a Lycan, a watchman, ...more

An exciting paranormal romance, well written and can stand independent of the series. After years of inaccurate assumptions about each other, Kierland and Morgan are forced together to search for Kierland's brother in the Vampire wastelands. Unable to deny their attraction for each other, or reconcile their past hurts, it appears unlikely that they will be able to stop fighting long enough to work together. Only by admitting their vulnerabilities to each other can they begin to connect and accep ...more

The first book I finished in 2012.  =)   I was determined to finish "Touch of Surrender" by the 1st of the year, and I'm glad I did because I have a stack of books that I need to read in the next month.   This was not my favorite book in the series at all, and I think I'm being a little nice by giving this book three stars.  The only thing I enjoyed about this book was Morgan, the Heroine in the story and Ashe.  The Hero, Kierland, was pissing me off.  I wa

I couldn not put this book down, it was so awesome, I loved everything about Kierland & Morgan's story.

I've been waiting for Kierland's book since the start of the series & I was not disappointed, he is totally broody and at times a complete ass but in the end he finally sees what he's doing & changes things around .

I love Morgan, she's got het faults just like everyone else but she finally takes a chance & opens her heart up and let's Kierland back in , it was great to see how
Here we have the 5th book in the Primal Instincts series.

This is Kierland and Morgan's story.

I'm not going to go into much detail, however, this is my least favorite so far. Kierland is an ass, he may turn it around towards the end of the book, but ultimately the only change is in the way he treats Morgan.

Morgan... what to say about her... Well she's not what she appears to be, I'll tell you that. She's gone through some tough things in her life, yes - but being that devastated over a man that y

This was my first Rhyannon Byrd novel and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The storyline was very easily picked up, and although this is part of a series, it can stand alone. I didn't feel like I missed anything in the series, considering this is the first book of the series I read. Morgan and Kierland were very strong characters and worked perfectly together not only in the bed, but in their battles to save Kierland's brother from evil. I found myself getting lost in the storyline of this book. I felt ...more

I am enjoying this series and I enjoyed this story too. I couldn't give it 4 stars b/c the hero Kierland was just too mean to the heroine throughout most of the book. It had fantastic sex scenes; these two were combustible together. It had a nice HEA ending. But, frankly, I found Ashe Granger a much more compelling character than Kierland. The vampire stole the show. I am not a big fan of the I-hate-you--------oh-now-that-I-know-I-misunderstood-you-I-finally-love-you-too story line. Still, folks ...more

What can I say other than this book was a roller coaster. I had mixed feelings right from the start. I liked the characters, I hated the characters. Kierland Scott made me want to rip his head off. Alpha jerk that he was in the beginning it took me awhile to warm up to his sorry ass.
Morgan Cantrell was one of those women that makes you want to shake them. She loves until she self destructs. Wow is that really happening, yeah.
And then there is her sexy best friend ex-lover. That you wish she was

I've had this ARC for a while and never got around to reading it. Don't worry, I am kicking myself because this book should have been at the top of my TBR pile. It's hot, steamy, and has my favorite type of shifter in it, the oh so hot lycan.

After starting to read Touch of Surrender, I realize that I didn't know who the heck all the characters were or why everyone was so angry with each other.

Oh My!!! Keirland is such an Alpha male. Bossy, dominating, jealous, possesive.....All the things that a werewolf should be.

I loved how this story unraveled......I really felt bad for Morgan and the way that Keirland had treated her over the past decade. I thought her panic attacks actually made her a little more "human", I really liked that!
Can't wait to find out about Kellan!!!

And Ashe....that's one vampire that I cannot wait to read more about. I'm liking him so much!!

RB took a heroine who was very strong in other books and made her a bit weak in this one, IMO. The hero wasn't as heroic as he was in other books, either. Oh well, I guess you have to give your H/h flaws for their story or there wouldn't be anything for them to overcome. I enjoyed their journey anyway and was glad they got their HEA. This book, like the rest of the Primal Instinct series, was hot to scorching.

Kierland and Morgan are both watchman and warriors. They share a past but Kierland will not admit that he has feelings for Morgan. He generally treats her bad trying to keep her away. He believes that Morgan is really in love with someone else. Then Morgan has to help Kierland search for his lost brother, Kellan. This throws them together and Kierland has to face the truth of his feelings for Morgan.

I liked the story a lot. I was drawn to the characters. Keir was kind of a dumbass. When is it ok for someone else to decide someone else's future? Who did he think he was to do that? It never works out - evah! The tension and passion was hot between these two and I loved it.

After this edition, I kind of want to see if the Grangers will have stories and Raine...maybe she'd hookup with Ashe...and Spark amybe she'd hookup with Gideon? I'm looking forward to Chloe and Kell 's story.

A very good addition to the series.

I really liked Morgan, and although Kierland really upset me in the beginning with his assumptions with regard to Morgan, and being a jerk towards her, I was very glad when he realised all his mistakes and FINALLY giving in to his feelings for her.

Their HEA was wonderful and way overdue.

I can’t wait to read Kellan’s book.

I really loved this book. After the first book, the series seemed to dip a bit but this brings it back up to form. Hot sexy and exciting. Kierland and Morgan were wild together and the heat was on from the first moment their eyes connected.
I can't wait to read the next book and i'm looking forward to more books in the future.

I just LOVED this book! He was stubborn, but so was she! It was so powerful finding out all she went through for him. Her friendship with Ashe was so heart-warming! The ending was intense and so passionate. Just a great book!

Another enjoyable read in the Primal series. Some parts seemed slow and forced where others were more exciting. Not crazy about the ending, could have been smoother for the next transition. I'm looking forward to the next book.
