It is without a doubt very informative - this is without a doubt the most thorough book I have read about cinema - it is also not at all dry, as the other books on the subject I have read are. The vocabulary, however, if you are not a native speaker, can be a challenge, which is the only reason I give the book a slightly lower rating than I would normally - I'm not sure I got everything I could out of it.
